I have tried really hard to like this phone, but it just has too many shortcomings to be touted as "great". First off, the phone is really slim and sexy, definitely not a phone you will typically see in the US, however they are used in large numbers on Europe. The features that this phone boasts are nothing to laugh at. But the dynamics of the phone make using the features cumbersome at best. Let's start off with the durability of the phone itself. At first my phone felt very solid and the slide mechanism was rock solid, however in a matter of a few months I notice there is much more lateral play now and the fit and finish is starting to show signs of compromise. The screen cover cracks easily and mars and scratches very easily, too easily. I am not impressed. The camera due to it's automatic focus which you cannot turn off, makes the phone lag severely when taking a shot. Leaving it impossible to take a clear shot of anything moving at all. Due to the lack of xenon flash, this phone is useless taking pics with at night. As others have mentioned, reading anything from the memory card takes forever, especially videos. I cannot comprehend why they would even make a phone that operates so slowly. You can limit this to a degree by grouping videos into smaller categories, however I cannot think of another phone I have ever used with similar lag when reading from the memory card. Watching videos and listening to music that is stored on the phone is acceptable, however you are limited to less than 60mb, how much can you really do with that anyway? The menu, while very intuitive, requires a lot of playing with before you can figure out how to use the features embedded in the phone. For example, you cannot send bluetooth files from the phone without first selecting the files you would like the phone to permit to send. I find this process makes no sense and seems needless. Talking more about the bluetooth, this phone has a horrible bluetooth configuration in which you must constantly connect with the headset in a long process of unlocking the screen, selecting and accepting the bond to the headset. I don't understand why I have to press five different buttons and complete three operations just to use my headset. It becomes even more of a stale mate when a call is coming in and your bluetooth function has already ended. It makes absolutely no sense and is the most bizarre function of this phone. Text messaging on this phone can be a pain, but you will get used to it, I have seen worse. The flashlight and the business card recognition feature on this phone are actually pretty cool, but not needed. The battery life on this phone is just terrible. Terrible to the point where you have to be aware of the battery meter the entire time that you are using the multimedia features, which is a pain in the ass. I will say the screen is very sharp and clear and bright, however I have a multitude of visible dead pixels on my phone already. And I will say this phone supports numerous formats for music and video, which makes it easy to find compatible material to store. The four touch sensitive buttons did not play any role in my review of the phone as I found the functional and fairly easy to adjust to.
