I love samsung, my first phone was the d600, then the d900, & now the u700, it makes me feel sophisticated ... & its user friendly

I just noticed that it's actually quite lighter than the SGH-U600. I'm not really sure but I compared it with my friend's u600, my u700 was lighter.

good phone but prefer the u600 less sensitive

First go to the menu-
click settings-
choose 1phone profile-
then click options and select 2edit-
then go down to the voice call ringtone
then click option choose 1change
then it will direct u to my files where u saved ur mp3 then choose the mp3 u want after that save the profile..

i still can't figure out how to set my mp3 song as ringtones. So frustated with this phone as samsung;s ringtones usually kinda sucks.
Could someone assist me step by step how to set mp3 as ringtones? Should i create a folder in music - how to go about? Pls help..

@berties buttocks.. hey dude, u had this fone for about a yr now but it was juz been announced last february, how could that be? and excuse me the camera is not 2.0 but 3.2 megapixel better than those 2 megapixel.. ive compared it! and it has a memory card slot, i mean u can use a micro sd for additional storage.. maybe ur doin an opinion for another fone coz wat ur saying is not entirely true..
@Josh.. i cant actually suggest u this phone becoz buying one depends on ur preference..
If u like a stylish looking fone but delicate and sensitive u may buy this one.. sure it has cool features but as everyone is complaining it doesnt have a loud sound for mp3 becoz obviously its not a music fone.. but for me its a nice cool fone! hehe

Is it true that the "ribbon" or the "thing" that connects the LCD of the slide phone to its keypad gets worn out after frequent sliding (Like for a year or two using the phone and frequently sliding it)of the phone? Please answer me. My friends both have samsung e800 and they both said that the ribbon of their phones have been replaced thrice in 3 years. Ive had this phone for about a year now and i think its rubbish, the camera is only 2 megapixel and goes wrong it has no memory card slot and bluetooth is only 1.2v i wish i had bought the samsung a300 instead thats a much better phone! also the vibrate function isnt satisfying enough!

@ shell yeah.. ive got the similar problem.. i guess we should only learn to push buttons fast..
@banana.. u can silence the keypad by clicking the volume buttons on the side while in standby mode..
@patrick.. yeah the o% itnerest is for the credit card users and when u'd buy it in cash i think its cheaper.. in greenhils its already available u could check it out at their website but i'm not sure
if it's the real thing and of course u wouldn't get a warranty from samsung if u bought it there but only service warranty from the shop u bought it from..
@rosline.. i think ur not exploring the new fone.. actually the music could be set as ringtone..and for the sms alert you could also use downloaded polytones..
@ruth.. well good for me i'm not experiencing those problems.. my problem is juz the buttons are sesitive that i always accidentaly push the cancel buttons which exits whenever am opening sms or any other folders..
@u700.. sori but u cant use mp3 or any music file for sms messages..
@DPG.. yeah the mp3 and music files can be used as ringtones but sadly it cant be used as a sms alert tone.. ive tried using polytones or .mid files and it works except it changes back into the default alert tone after few hours.. well the built in tones are quite good and i especially like the chiming tone for the sms messages..
@melissa.. well i guess the speaker is not really low but compared to nokia well it is low.. but its enough for me to hear it for a maximum of 4meters..
@deviline.. white/silver, blue/violet and gold/brown.. i guess u could ko with the blue/violet..
@anonymous 3 down below.. it hangs a bit when i open a folder and especially when i open a txt message.. but only for 1-3 seconds :)
my only problem ryt now is getting used to its sensitive pads.. but its still pretty cool! am still loving it! :) :) :)

I think this is a lovely phone, but, how does one place an underscore? I cant figure that out. Also, where can i get games? Ive tried samsungnmobile.com, vodafone live and exactmobile, there games are not gr8.

the phone looks cool but thats about it..Its always changes move closes to the screen without me doing nething. the touch pad stops workin sometimes and to click yes takes for ever.. the phone has great feature if only the phone allowed u to stay on the page. i think this fone would be great if it didnt have a touch pad function...
