you can opt for the vodafone version .... that comes with a 900 mAh battery. and you can "debrand" the phone later by updating it's firmware ... the only bad thing is that it has written vodafone under the screen ... but that's fine by me ... i'm a voda fan anyway ;) ... and about the battery ... it now has 3 days and i only lost 1 line (out of three) ... and i used the phone quite a bit (maybe more than that) these days ...about a hour of calls,music,camera...and it still goes

You just install all features from the original cd that cames with the phone, input your data cable in one of your USB devices, and then link it to the phone. It should appear an additional hard drive(memory card). Then it is all yours

Singapore - You definitely can answer and end a call while the phone is in 'locked' mode without sliding up the keypad.

When a call comes in, simply press once on the round silver button within the scroller, and you will see the "Accept" option on the bottom left side of the screen and the "Reject" option on the bottom right side. From there, just do the usual with your touch screen buttons to accept or reject an incoming call.

To end a call, simply press the silver button once and you will see either a "Cancel" or "Exit" option on the bottom right side of the screen.

In addition, you can also cancel the "Slide Down = Hang Up" function so that you can slide up the phone to search and dial a contact's number, but slide it down while having the conversation. Go to Settings in the main menu, then Phone Settings, then Slide Settings, and set "Slide Down" to equal "Continue operation".

yap samsung phones are great, large and clear display, large fonts suitable for old and young, direct theme color and some countless features (independent vibration alerts, passwords, living world theme, tv out, picsel viewer, video caller I.D., mega search, B&O amplifiers and real video players plus great designs).

i am going to buy this phone!!! its great!!!

all of you stop saying stupid things..it's a phone for God sake!!

if you want good camera GET ONE!!! i recommend olympus m1000.

if you want an mp3 player GET ONE!!

if you want games GET psp...

you buy a phone so you can put some photos for wallpapers, and some sounds for ringing.. don't ask more than that..

the colours are great... you never bore with that colours.. i had a sony ericsson and it was so boring changing themes all day to find a good one..

as for the sms ring it's better than it doesn't accept our sounds.. you NEVER get bored of listening to it..i had samsungs before and believe me it's better having samsung's sounds for sms..

sorry for being hard with you
                  BUT YOU ASK TOO MUCH
                  F O R A P H O N E!!!!!

                  IT'S PERFECT!!!
and you will get used to sensitive keys...good luck!! :)

Has anyone had problems with receiving sms a day or two to late? Could that be a problem with the bluetooth connection through a Tomtom Navigation System? I was happy with the phone until now.

                                  DONT BUT THIS PHONE!!!!!

                                  I cannot stress this enough!!!

                                  Ok heres why...

                                  - touch sensitive buttons = BOO that
Sometimes the touch sensitive buttons want to register and other times they dont! I dont have time to sit there and press the menu button time after time again and wait for my phone to decide when it wants to do what i want it to do. I dont know about you but i wouldnt buy a hair dryer that sometimes blowed dried my hair and other times didnt!

                                  - messaging = BOO that
Again to do with the touch sensitive buttons - i dont think ive successfully written a sms without accidently hittin the touch sensitive button on the right that takes you into calls and messages...a minor inconvience but an inconvience nonetheless

                                  - calling = BOO that
The problem is not that the phone doesnt call - its that it calls too much - it calls people i never intended on calling. Ive accidently called 10 people now because the phone decides that i want to call those people?? Thats alot of credit to waste when you think about it...stupid touch sensitive buttons

                                  - theme = BOOOOOOOOOOO that
The theme is fugly as - the menu colour screen is orange! who the freak likes orange??

                                  - volume = BOO that
This has already been discussed by many others but basically if you depend on your phone as an alarm - buy this phone and i wish you a happy sleeping in and many a times missing class/work coz you couldnt hear your friggin phone go off!

                                  - camera = i wouldnt go as far to say shithouse but i would say it was a disappointment :(

                                  - Samsung itself - ive had samsung before and have thoroughly enjoyed their phones but since its been updated (you know wats coming) = BOO that! Its more confusing, with more features that you DONT need - BORING!

Pretty much if this phone DIDNT have touch screen buttons it would be a tight phone (sometimes) but seriously i wouldnt recommend it...

Other people seem to like it - good on them - i dont know wat they see in the phone but thats their opinion and heres mine - see a samsung u700 - BREAK IT!!!

I agree about the volume, too low even on 7.
I was a bit disappointed about the camera. Pictures tend to become a bit blurry.
I have some other minor complaints as well, but overall I think it's a great phone. It's fast and dependable, even though it takes a few days to get used to the touch sensitive keys.
