Battery is great?? Think it over again..Li ion batt are the past man, look at sony er. li pol.bar and about 1000mah samsung just dont know how to put a strong batt, in such thin phone(maybe that is the main reason)

Its battery life is great. I had d900i before, its battery life was short, but u700 battery is excellent

yes you can lock the messages
you can lock pretty much everything on it
settings, security, privacy, pick what you want to lock, and then choose a code,
its usually 0000 or 00000000

Can someone tell us how the email interface is? My biggest concern is getting mobile email and I dont want a pda.

It is a brilliant phone,got it yesterday and wow I love it so yes you should buy this phone,though the touch sensitive keys take a day 2 get use 2 but otehr than that 10/10 from my side.
Also read the review just below the pic of the phone,its good =)

have it for a week now ... and it's great. it's worth every penny....trust me.i sold my n73 to buy this (so i know what i'm talking about)...it has a few glitches (no radio,u can't use a mp3 as a message alert tone,records in a small resolution - but i don't listen to the radio (had my n73 for 8 months and used the radio only 3 times),i don't shoot video,and as long as it's not a stupid tone,i don't care how it announces me of new messages,as long as it does)
==i'll make a short comparison between u700 and n73 (in the end it's my opinion,and i don't care if you don't agree - but argue with me after you had both phones,not just tested them at your local mobile phone shop)
-display is good to great (colours are more vivid,natural,but it scores worse in direct sunlight because the mirror like screen)
-camera is also pretty much the same,this one takes more sharper pictures,colours look good and natural (unlike the d900,quite faded),and unlike other phones,it can open video in bigger resolution than the one it shoots (176*144)
-audio player sounds good (it sounds like winamp) but headphones spoil a bit,no complaints here
-construction ... it's a samsung ... so it's excellent ...
-the scroll is awesome ... ;)
-it's faster than the n73
-the loudspeaker is good (although it's not 3D ... but it's fine)
-looks ... need i say more? >:) ;) :P (^_^);it's like a chick magnet ... all the girls on my block that see it go like "wow...that looks awesome...very nice,can i take a look at it??" (if you have the "know how" it's so easy to get hold of a number or a date after that... >:) )
-price... what can i say ... i like to spend a extra buck on something good (actually the price didn't matter to me ... i wanted it,so i went for it) -like nike said:just do it!
-enough stuff "out of the box"...

if you want a sleek,rich functions,great looks phones go for it,ot it's little brother,the u600 (this one has some extra appealing functions,but worse camera)...
if you consider them just fashion accessory you are wrong...they also have great functions

did anyone else find that the alleged u700... made there facial features seem obese when viewed upon at an angle of 35c... i was quiet troubled when i saw this and took my fone back to the shop i purchased it at ... also according to police i am not allowed use my u700 as a temporary rear view mirror for my car that had its original mirror smashed in a drunken brawl one night.. apparently the mirror isnt good enough for that ... please anybody else had such problems email me back

i've just buy u 700 today , it's design look nice, but it's main problem the ring tone voulume is very very low however on level 7 , i tried several tones on the mobile and mp3 song from pc in vain , icant listen outdoor,also all application like games you have to download it there is no in the phone.
i dont recommend this phone , just a good design.

Its a new cover on a d900.
only a tri band.
same camera
same memory,
same video
same everything except the covers.
why spend 200 more? pickup a d900 for 250 on ebay.
Both of the phones SUCK if you dont live in the city, I have a motorola junker I swap sims to anytime I am not right in town. they cant reach out and get any signal, roll up the window in your car, no signal. its bad. its a city boys phone.

yes ... if ur looking 4 the ,. etc .. try pressing the # button for a while .. n it will pop out ..
