it is out in the UK - go to a vodafone shop you'll find it! (or at least I did two days ago in Glasgow)...

i heard today from someone in an O2 shop that the U700 isnt gonna be available through O2! Damn - does anyone know if this is really the case? Presumably you could still get it through third party places on O2 though?

Hi,
I have a Samsung E900 and a brand new Samsung U700. I am trying to transfer my phonebook from the E900 to the U700. I am trying to do this using the USB cable and the Samsung PC Studio ver 3.1.2 GF1. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to do this. I can see all my contacts in the E900 once I connect it to PC Studio, and I then try to export them. It creates a file, but the file doesn't contain any information in it. Isn't this the way I should do it? Shouldn't I first export from the E900, place them in a file, and then import them on the U900? Can someone advice as to what I should be doing? Any help is greatly appreciated
I know I can do it via bluetooth as well, but unfortunatly I have only one SIM card, and thus only one of the phones can be functioning at a given point in time.

Yes indeed, it does have a flash for picture taking. It also works as a flashlight to see in the dark!
Samsung does not use Symbian software, so it's not as easy to install software on this phone. I guess you'd have to use java applications specifically designed for the phone model.

Of course its out in the UK, from Vodafone. I've had the phone for a month or so now and I'm definately in UK.

How do we install programs on this phone?!?!?!?!?

Q&A:
-I haven't seen any other colors out yet... The dark one that you may have seen is just an earlier version of the silver one as far as i know!
-The only part on the silver phone that is vulnerable to fingermarks, is the screen which is made out of some sort of glossy material :P, and no color is gonna fix that.
-Price here in Norway is a little less then 440 EUR.

I'm intrested with this phone. But please help me to answer some quetions. Does this phone can ring and vibrate together when there is incoming call or SMS? My second question, does this phone can accept AAC+ file (music)?

argh!!!! wll this fone hurry up and hit the shelves! its starting to PMO! well 1/8 is tmr! so for the person who posted that date i sure hope ur right cos my source said it was 1/7... but yeh we'll see what happens.
