Hi im thinking of buying this phone, but i was wondering if you were able to link the exspandable memory inable to save more txt messages (i know sounds like a small fing but yh) I only wonder this because i know someone with the Nokia 6300 and they are able to do this with that phone

You can easily answer the phone while it's closed, I'm not even gonna explain that to you :P
I have no trouble hearing the phone ringing, but it has problem with some sounds at high volume, easily fixed by turning the volume down on step... Still no trouble hearing the phone ringing!
I don't get all you people complaining about the sensitivity!? Would you rather have it the other way around? I don't think so!
It's just something new to get used to, not a real problem at all...

this would have been much better in black colour like most samsung phones..more like the d900 i had..many finger prints..very very sensitive and u cannot answer unless the slide is up :(..bad sound..even at top level u can hardly hear it ring..overall good and stylish

for all those living in Australia i have good news. I have just recieved confirmation on the release date for this phone into the Australian market. Optus assured me this phone will hit the shelves on Wed August 1st. Not long to wait.

I'd really love to own the U700, Samsung has been known worldwide for being synomyns for QUALITY. What I'd like to know is, are the pictures COMPLETLY CLEAR?

bought a U700 mainly for the HSDPA purposes,but when connecting on 3G it only gives me speeds uo to 236kb p/s.Is this the right speed or what?

Can you multi task on this phone?
Thats the only thing i hated about samsung. So if you can multi task on the u700 i think il get 1.

the touch sesitive butons are a real pain. Ive spent the last 2 weeks since having the phone cutting peaole off or putting them on loud speaker.

I wish they had set some customisation for all the buttons on top, not just the wheel =( not very usefull with internet and videocall buttons for me, and i would like to have the advanced phonebook handy, not that mini mode they have preset on the top right button.

@Michael: I dunno when it's released in South Africa, but I can tell you that you won't be able to get the "black"-version.. What you have seen as the black version is the prototype (first public design) so now, only the silver/metallic version exist.

Does anyone else find the sounds too quiet even with the volume turned to the max. There appears to be a 3d option but i can't figure out how to work it. Can anyone help?

this is a really gr8 fone, got it y-day, mus get used to touch sensitive butttons, how do i replace the browser icon with contacts on on the screen above the right top touch button, on the left it's messages and on the right its start browser and i don't want it there, pls someone help and email me on precious.phillips@eskom.co.za

got to be the worst phone ive ever had the misfortune to upgrade to!
far too touch sensitve!
doesnt have vivid text!
and is very basic!
the ringtones and message tone are tinny and cheap!
ive had it for 3 hours and am just off to post office to send it straight back!
GIVE ME A NOKIA ANYDAY!
