      I bought it and returned it because the calender is too restrictive.

      The text fields in the calender are only about 15-20 characters long. Way to short!

      There are only 20 slots for tasks and I suspect that number of other calendar entries are limited too.

      What a shame, because it is otherwise a really really nice phone! :-(

        Maybe it's the Tele2 Subscription i have? they have some sort of deal that works so that both the prices in norway and sweden are the same? The "R" wasn't there before i set it up with Tele2.. I'm just guessing though, until someone comes with the solution ;0)

            @Ferrer:

            The "R" in the green square indicates that your phone operates in a roaming network (not your own carriers network.)
            If you are supposed to be in your carriers network, try to check out the network settings (something about chose standard carrier or something. -the phone will have to restart)

            video length can be changed from "mms length" to "limited to memory" under video recorder settings. open camera, (or application settings under settings) and press the setting button (right soft key) and chose camcorder. there, you'll find all the necessary settings for quality and length.

              Can anyone tell me what the icon on top of the screen is, it's an "R" inside a green square... And i'm wondering how i get the video recordings to last more then 30 sec =/

                hm.. Only way to avoid - that I can think of right now - would be to disable sms as a shortcut.. (cause I recon that's how your messages have been sent.? like click left on the scroll wheel?) That way, sending sms whilst having the device in your pocket etc. would be a bit harder cause it'll have to go through a lot more menu choises..

                  I've had this phone on Vodafone for 3 days. One important difference btw u600 and u700 is the unlock button. On u700, you just have to push the central button twice - yesterday my phone sent 14 blank txt messages whilst in my handbag - NICE. If anyone has any ideas on how to get around this would love to hear them!

                    AT&T use GSM - look at the iPhone =p I know some carriers use 850 and/or 1900 MHz band in America.. Check with your carrier..

                        Mike, dont take my words for definite but here goes. From what i know, majority of USA doesnt use sim cards in "cell phones". Hence i doubt that the GSM phones will work in the states. But i believe there are a few select carriers that do provide GSM support. Other then that i dont think u will be able to use any GSM cell phones. This applies for everywhere else in the globe that doesnt use sim cards.

                              @GQ: I'm currently waiting for mine (only looked at it and some of it's functions through a friend) but somehow, something happened with the delivery, so I won't get it before sometime in August.. (live in Norway)

                              but I do have the Samsung z720 in my hands, if you wonder about anything - menu etc. they're almost the same except better cam and mp3 player on u700 + some extra features..
