I agree, I bought my Samsung u700 phone 2mos.ago because I was captivated to the phone's design. However the features really suck! I can't even have themes on it. I want to purchase another handset again.

I thought I'd type in this phone into Google see what people would say about it. Well...I can say, DO NOT buy this phone! After only a few months the charger connection broke, i.e. wouldn't charge but not faulty charger(I tried 3!). Had to have it sent for repairs. A guy at work has or should I say HAD same phone. His peeled, which he put down to having keys and coins in pocket. I don't ever and mine peeled. It looks awful and old! Well a few weeks ago his broke and mine went the same way tuesday. All the keys bar the number keys do not work when phone is open! I have had it a year, maybe less but I couldn't be bothered sending it off for repair! Second fault to happen! I'll buy another one tomorrow. And NEVER another Samsung. Just goes to show, don't choose something for what it looks like!!!! Also, I had a Samsung flip phone in past, screen went after few months and my parents have a Samsung camera which eats batteries. Three shots it's flashing and switching itself off. Really disappointed cos I always thought Samsung to be a good make. Their products are stylish, but as I said looks can be deceiving!!!

I hear people tell me this phone spoil easily.
when they use for week they need to repair.
maybe i know what the problem of the phone that you all must repair.
And how does the mean buttons work?touch screen?

The most useless phone ever!!!!!!!!!! Everyone I know who had this phone had to send it in for repairs. Also, the phoned peeled within weeks!

My husband has had this phone for 2 years and its been in for repairs more than its actually been used! Terrible phone! Worst one yet. Sorry.

Very sleek design and very attractive... but phone quality is very poor. not user-friendly. flex got destroyed already. poor signal and poor battery life

WOW i haven't read a single positive comment abt this phone on here...
ok this is gonna be a surprise to everyone i guess, but i've had the u700 for about 6 months now and i haven't had it mess up even ONCE. i have the "pearl black" one and on the back the paint is coming off just a tiny bit but that can be fixed easily.
the slide has never been a problem, and the picture quality is great! the only complain i have is probably that it's stupid that the alarm doesn't go off if the phone is on silent, and also that you can't erase words from your T9 dictionary so say you wanted to type 86 instead of "to" that one time, and you add 86 to your dictionary, from now on everytime you write "to" .. "86" comes up first. if you know what i mean.
but apart from that, i love the phone.
ps: basically everything electronic that is silver will eventually peel off... that's why you should stay away from silver...

The phone is utterly a poor phone, it all of a sudden good dead and the sound does not work and i cant hear another person when they call me...very bad phone.

I love this phone because of its design. Its so elegant. But i've sent it for repair 2 times already. First time it kept shutting down, second time the keys wont work. But the phone design is very nice.

Nah,I recommend that U600 is better,as its not as DELICATE as the U700.Although the chrome really flushed the ratings of the phone down by a 2 star.As matter of fact,The Samsung Ultra Edition is extremely delicate all the phones.Don't go for their sleek and beautiful design its a trap!

Good design, poor quality.
Chrome vanished a month after use. Had it replaced at samsung. then after a few months, flex got damaged. Had it replaced also.
then flex got damaged again... as of now, im on my 5th flex already.... im not sure... i lost count.
then for some reason, the screen broke inside me pocket, had it replaced... little did i know that the rear camera also got busted together with screen.
this is a lemon phone.

its not perfect like the options on message alert tones its just exclusive tones from samsung..u cant use your own tones u downloaded...my u 700 is 1yr now and for the first 6 mos. i already brought it to repair the ribbon and now the LCD too bad huhuhu....
