i must say that the samsung U700 is utter rubbish,
i had this fone for 3months and i am doing a office job
i bearly put it in ma pockets yet the paint job keeps rubbing off,
I JUST BOUGHT A N80 and trust me
NOKIA OUTLAST SAMSUNG BY FAR!!!!!

chrome finish started to peel off immediately after i purchased it sometime August 2008.. i lost the audio last sunday...dont know why...ohh crap

I bought this phone for my wife and that was 7 months ago, until now its good as brand new, everything works as it should be, no chipping of its paint...etc, in short we didn't experience any of you guys problems, so far it serve us well, internet is good, photo is great as well, though the sound is not that loud compared to my N81 when playing mp3 files using built in speakers but it is crisp and nice. The main drawback I have with this phone for this price range is that it cannot play FM, so overall I would give phone a 9/10

I bought this phone on August last year..(just 6 months ago!)
The camera was very good.. I love it!
but I'm so regret now because the speaker was not function and must be prepared..

hi.my mom's daughter have this samsung u700 n purple color and the phone is great but i like my own samsung f330 than this...

Let me illustrate the problems that have occurred with this phone since it was purchased at the beginning of my contract.
1) Finish begins to wear off immediately, despite me spending R100 on a special cases to protect the phone.
2) Buttons stopped working
3) Lights stopped working
4) Phone would not switch on
-phone was repaired I bought another more expensive case to protect the phone better for R160 (Repair time-2weeks)
5) Finish wore off again
6) USB functionality ceased
7) Phone stopped charging
-phone was repaired and I was charged +-R300 except for usb functionality. I spent +-R200 on a bluetooth adapter as a work around
8) Finish wore of AGAIN!
7) Phone stopped emitting sound
- Phone sent for repair again (repair time - two weeks and counting)

I bought my brandnew U700 last sept 2008, after 6 months the revolving navigator at the middle part stopped functioning. The audio was also a problem. Whenever I make a call the receiving party could not hear me. I returned it to the store where I bought it and I have to wait for a week. I wont buy Samsung anymore.

dis phone dus rili sucks! i min very useles it can easily b broken or damage specialy d slide. even if sm1 wil giv me a free u7 il not t8k it because it suks big time. i tink ol of samsung fone sucks! dont buy samsung fones bcos uil regret it!

after a year... now i can see nothing in my phone... it needs to be fixed. darn!
i thought after i scratch eveything of that silver lining (that peeling off problem)my woes are over and that i can keep it for another year or more for the sake of surfing the net (as I connect it to my lappy)... but nah!
never ever buy it in case u see it in stores...

great phone but easily scratched and silver frame begins to tirn white- even if u take care of it, will still result in bad appearance - oda den dat just gr8!

i had teh u6oo phone first. and buy teh new u7oo after a month. ye now why? bec. u6oo sucks more than the u7oo. thats it!

this phone needs to be kept in a biscuit container. it looks nice,but when u use it, it begins to crumble.
