i love the phone .. tried out the option u provided, it seems it worked for some other users.. i tried it time and again... wid mine it didnt work, im soo sad. i regret buyin this phone just coz o the volume.. pliz help me out buddy..

i have owed this phone for 4 months now, the silver paint peeled, no worried, everythin seems okay dont have much to complain.. all the complains here, i beleive it depends on the region they have been manufactured and sold.. alos depends on handling...
My biggest problem is the MP3 volume.. being a music lover, the volume sucks, i hae to fix itto my ears to listen to it over the phone speaker. i tried a option provided in this site by one of the user, didnt seem to work, if anyone smart dude to help me out shall surely appreciate pliz mail me at :shakti.sh@linktree.biz

have you try the TV OUT ....its nice try using or buy an tv out cable for u700...

pswg.....u cant used mp3 tones for message alert due to the current software version of ur phone now...it should be u708...

im so over this phone. had it for about 7 months now & after all the peeling came off, its actually looked pretty good & i got used to the irritating touch screen that seems to work when u dont want it to & vice-versa, but now,the wheel scrolley thingy has stopped working,the sound has stopped working which means i cant make phone calls or play music & the screens just blanks out somethimes & i cant even switch it on now! going back to nokia! wish i never got this phone-the hot looks just aint worth the hassles

I got mine last night, very sexy!
Vodacom dealer said that Samsung will sort out if the silver comes off and I got a second phone free, so I got a backup if this one needs to go in for fixing!
So far I'm enjoying it lots!

BIGGEST JUNK EVER MANUFACTURED, DROPS CALLS ALL THE TIME ,DIALS BY IT SELF . SPEAKER BLAST MY EARDRUMS OUT OR NO SPEAKER ,PARDON THE CAPS BUT I MUST SHOW MY FRUSTRATION. Samsung Head OFFICE called me and told me it just need an adjustment, busy with Vodacom my subscriber to replace this useless phone . Battery life non existent , this is my repaired phone only in use for two months using for business which already cost me a lot of aggrevated customers SO PSE DONT BUY THIS JUNK YOU WILL REGRET IT FOREVER everybody that i know is getting rid of theirs. My Biggest COMPLAIN: calls goes on hold with incoming calls AND to try and retrieve impossible , and then it drops the calls . I have been using cellphones for ten years but this is the biggest nightmare i have ever owned.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

first the pros:
its a beauty, cool and sexy.
that's where the advantage begins and ends. its one piece of junk and will become a very expensive paper weight unless i can sell it.
the cons:
battery life is dismal. it will last for only 24 hours, tops. the phone is not in 3g mode, it is used only for texting with one or two calls that last for a couple of minutes.
had the unit and battery replaced where i bought it and it was the same poor performance.
the touch pad is very finicky, its irritating to use.
in short people, buy at your own risk.
i bought instead nokia E51 and no regrets so far.

I am having similar problems like another person that posted a comment. I am not receiving any phone calls or text messages. The phone was working just fine for a month and all of sudden it stopped working. I have tmobile and have been working with them for the past 2 weeks and they dont know why it's not working... any suggestions?

Dont buy this samsung U700, the screen is scratched and has peeled. The phn only 3mths old..and dont play full volume for ur MP3 because the speaker will crack..
