You can have MP3 songs as your MESSAGE TONE alert!!! All you need to do is is upgrade the firmware to the Asian u708 firmware, i did it on mine and it works perfectly!

The fone autolocks when on call ryt? So theres no way the call will be cancelled unless you unlock it.

every time i check into this site...all u can read is i hate u700 but i love u600 anyway...many people distracting from ur opinion....i dont know if u really have a samsung phones....

goto settings then operator settings....then choose ur network provider......thats it,anyone knows where can i find a java games that can be install in u700 thanks in advance...

i just bought my U700 last day and i cant find how to open my MMS, i also try to open my internet connection but its always unavailable i dont know to activate my internet connection though I used my Usb port to connect it to my PC..and it cannot end the call right away!!!! for those who knows how to activate the MMS, GPRS and 3g please send me to my email.. ive already activated that but still its not working...

This is the worst phone that Samsung has ever invented. I have mine 4 months and has endless problems with the speaker people cannot hear me but i can hear them The phone was sent via vodacare for fixing twice already and i just collected it last friday and it is still not right. So yet again i will be without a phone for 6 weeks.
Utterley disgusted Samsung user. Will not recommend this to anyone

no annoying touchy buttons and better video
also slimmer, if youre into that
p.s.
i have u700 in black, and the centre button used to be blue... until i pressed it too much and the blue actually came off since it was only a blue sticker on the button -_-;.
other than that, havent had any troubles with the body
no paint peeling or anything.
(i have the version that came with 1gb memory card though)

ITS A PHONE! those are jst add-on features, do yu expect the phone camera to be as good as a camera?...Or yu want an FM go buy one, or jst buy a memory card and add yur music on it ==! , and do yu srsly need yur OWN ringtone for recieving messages? its jst an alert its not gonna kill yu
Yes, the silver finish peelings a problem, ive had a silver one an the finish started coming off, then i switch one for a black one, for about the same period of time i had the silver one now and the finish isnt coming off
its a great phone. Yu dont expect ONE phone to have ALL perfect features, yu ppl needa think b4 commenting

why is the voting response exellent for this phone but there's nothing but negative feedback in the comments?
if this phone really is that horrible, can anyone suggest another 3G phone for around the same price that would be better?
