Am just about to receive a samsung U700 phone from my friend,am worried about due to most of the comments from the users.how do you convice me that this phone is perfect?otherwise,the outlook of the phone is just amazing!!

This phone is far from satisfactory. The touch keys are quite unresponsive, video quality is bad....very bad, no preloaded games, but the most annoying thing is how pathetic the speaker volume is. Goodluck trying to hear your phone ring outside. I've tweaked all the options to max the volume and it's very quiet in comparison to most phones. The speakerphone option during a call is a complete waste of time. It would have to be midnight and sitting on ur toilet to hear it. Another bad point is the lag between taking a photo and the phone actually capturing the image. Very annoying. While I'm at it, I'll also point out that you can't set the incoming message (text etc) tone alert using your own mp3 files, only sh!tty midi files are recognised, and again as the speaker is so useless, your lucky to hear it when you do get a message.
I just realised how dissapointed I actually am with this phone.
Am I the only U700 user that has to hit the touch buttons 3 times to get them to work when I want to, yet somehow always seem to cancel an operation by accidently glancing the 'cancel / hang-up' touch button when I don't want to?????????????

is there anyway to change the shortcut buttons on the home screen?
i.e. left side has messages and right side has internet
i keep going into internet accidentally, and its charging me quite a bit.
love this phone, but touchy buttons are annoying.

il be getting my u700 couple of weeks from now, where can i find the store where i can g-masked my soon to acquire samsung u700? thanks..no turning back for me since it was already ordered and its free under my smart plan 1800.

The phone "locks" everytime you make a call,just to ensure tha no touch button is pressed by your face.I also wandered why this happened at first.And by the way,you can't remove this feature.After all,it is a slide up phone.Whenever you want to make an unanswered call to someone,just close the phone

Personally I like u700 very much.I don't think battery life sucks.My phone lasts 4-5 days.The only problem I've noticed is that it stores sms in the SIM memory,though I am sure it can be fixed.Ok u600 was good,but come on,this is a piece of art!

Ive just got this phone... but one of the things im wondering is why the phone is storring the text messages on the sim card and not on the phone memory. can anyone tell me how to rectify this? thanks.

The U600 is better, as it has a better video quality(u700 video recording quality is ANCIENT), fm radio, tv out and business card recognition. It is also, IMO - better looking. Oh, and is also slimmer(if you are into that;))

I just got this phone two days ago... I've read these comments even before buying it so I decided to use a crystal case for my phone for protection... As of now, my phone's battery life lasted for two days but it was on silent mode since I'm always in school... I use the camera though... What I really don't like with this phone is that you can't change the menu for soft key... And since I just started using it, it's not a surprise for me that I'm still having a hard time...But I really love design... I bought the violet and my friends found it nice...

After just a couple of weeks the silver finish peels off. The phone does not come with any preloaded games, not in this county anyway.

I have the silver phone for 2 months and returned it due to peeling on the front cover. I was told there was a batch of these phones that has this problem. However I am now being inconvenienced having to wait 30 days for a repair.

hey guys... i just bought a u700 recently and everytime i make a call the phone gets locked automatically... is there an option to remove that??? also when i delete the call logs it asks for the password, can it be changed to normal???

it peels off really bad. got this phone for just two months and it looks like its as bad as it can be. plus it hangs frequently even while you're in the middle of texting you have to occassionally put it off and on to recover. consulted with sales office in the phils, and they dont provide warranty for peeling fones. they just suggested it can be repainted somewhere but didn't mention where exactly. anybody in the phils know where this can be repainted?

This is samsungs worst phone ever!!! the buttons are to touch, it can't multitask!!!
and it cant zoom at maximum pixel capasity!!!
Don't ever buy this phone ever!!!
