Ok - so I only got to the second page of all these comments and now I'm a little freaked about getting this phone. All I really wanted to know was about the texting and how many can this phone hold in memory. Now I have to think about peeling & touch screen issues.
Can someone out there really tell me what is good about this phone if so many ppl are complaining... :(

someone say it will be easily peeling..
actually, if you drop this phone, of course
it should be peeling..
i never think so.
if you don't drop it or don't get any scratch,
this phone won't have any problem..

I bought this unit U700 2 days ago, Dec. 12. I'm contended with its features and most importantly is the camera/picture quality! The best! Clear pics, crisp, nice pic color! I like its Live World wallpaper! Fascinatin
My U700 (black) is protected with crystal casing to prevent it from fading its housing color. So I have no worries of transforming it into a cheap fone because of color-fading cause of frequent use and sweaty hands.

Hi, I am interested in this phone.
But after reading the reviews about the paint peeling problem, I am hesitating now.
So...can anyone tell me that whether this phone always has the paint peeling problem?
Is there anyone who bought this phone for over 4 months and didn't encounter paint peeling problem?

yeah, you can use an mp3 as your ringtone and as a message alert tone. bought one just this month. its pretty nice, very stylish. Its just driving me crazy when I try to compose an sms, its not text friendly and also the screen can easily be dirtied with your handprints, I have to wipe it up after using it.

Hi, I have a few questions about this phone. Like other people on here, I am hesitant to buy it. Mainly because of the whole silver paint peeling off. So is this phone better than the U600? opinions please...
Someone on here said something about GMASKing it. That's a good idea, but I live nowhere near the philippines. Is there any other way to gmask this? I mean, does anyone know if I can send the phone to them or is there a store/place in the US to do that?
Also, how come the picture of the phone on this webite differ from the ones on those websites that sells them, (ex. mobilebee, importgsm, etc.) So which version of the phone is the official one???
Thanks...
