oops im sorry my mistake, i did not tell exactly the problem, the problem is because my slider is shaky and not quite stable, because of the plastic design, any movement in my pocket, it just activate the answer of my call, then the sensitive screen just cancel my calls
just good in the eyes but the structure was too cheap made of plastic

huh?
are you sure you have a samsung u700? coz when someone calls your u700, even if you touch the call pad, IT WILL NOT answer as long as you havent slide it open; unless your setting suggest one. my will not answer the call as long as the slider is close. go to settings --> phone settings ---> slide settings ---> (1) slide up --> accept all; (2) slide down --> stop operation.
i suggest new owners explore the phone's settings before whining.

for those who wants this phone but are afraid of the fading silver, then HAVE IT GAMASKed. i use transparent so the original colors are not compromised.

If you want to have your music as a ringtone than you need to put your music in the map of the ringtones!! And not in the other ones...
You can move your music around, changing map and stuff.

Well I said that I would be back if I have any bad comment...
I have some now!
1. The battery life sucks!! It any lasts for 2day, and only if you're not using Bleutooth, mp3player, camera, ... too much. If you do use those features to much well than you have to recharge every day!
2. I hate the fact that you can not change the menu layout (see color). I don't like orange!!
3. Those touchscreenthings are sometimes really GRRR*** When you want them to work, they don't react. When you to touch something else, another thing opens.
4. I have NO idea why Samsung has put the 2 phone-buttons on it. Because you need to answer your phone with opening the slider and you have to end your phone by closing your slider.
==> I can definitly say that I'm sorry that I have chosen for this phone instead of the BB 8310...
Well next time better.

Never again. Good looks yes, bad quality. What is the idea of a good looking phone but after 1 to 3 months the silver phone turns into a white phone. 3 month phone looks like a 5 year old phone. All the people that has the U700 does not like the half white, silver, 5 year old phone that they have. Samsung said to me go Vodacom were I bought the cellphone, Vodacom said: That is my problem and I must just live with it. Never again.

Replacing my old D600 the U700 looks and feels great, I agree with others that it can be a bit of a pain at first trying to get around the fantastic specification but once mastered its well worth it.

do not fool on the design, but if you have it in your own hands, it just made of plastic material, so expect the paint will just peel off, touch sensitive buttons is pain in the toot

had this phone since sept 16 2007..well over all it is a very good phone aside from the silver finish wearing up and the slider becoming a bit wobbly,i don't want to discourage those people who would want to buy this phone but if your planning to do so,make sure you've really made up your mind..=)

for those who are having a fear or problem with the peeling/fading silver coat, what i did after getting my u700 is to have it GMASKed. i used transparent so i would not compromise the elegance of the phone. actually i have it covered all around even the back and plastic battery cover.
