Anonymous, 08 Feb 2009can anyone comment on the speaker of the U900. is it good? ... moreI'd say the speaker is pretty lousy - same goes for the vibrate strength. I've had this phone (I presume the u900 and soul use the same speaker?) for about 6 months and am forever missing calls as I can't hear (or feel) it when it goes off!

The slider mechanism is perfect fine. I've been using it ever since October and its still really springy. It's a bit less "crisp" in its spring, but still much better than the SE sliders I've used (W580 and W910).
The speaker is a bit soft, but fine for normal environments like school and office, but not for busy places like on the streets.

Hey, I was wondering where we go to download software updates for this phone, I bought it unlocked and I'm hoping by now they've come up with an update letting us use the camera in the front. And one that lets us make better use of the mp3.

Iv had a u900 for several months my screen has gone blank and the touch screen seems to have started malfunctioning to . my insurance wont sort it out any ideas how to get it fixed without costing the earth??

Please help. when I text and input words like "to" and "it" the text gives me the number alternative first and then i have to press the "0" for the word options I have it set to T9Eab any suggestions.

is anyone having problems with sending/receiving picture messages? every time i try to retrieve an mms or send one it says that it has failed due to service being unavailabe =( any help would be great! thanks in advance

L, 26 Jan 2009for some reason my phone freezes when i recieve calls, some... moreyour phone could be freezing because of 2 things
1st one it could be that you have an old sim card and thats because u have a new phone but with an old sim card ofcoure it wont work properly
2nd you just might need a software update
if u have ur sim card for more than 2 years propably this would be the issue

Mak... moreNo thanks, I'll pass. When I mentioned the whole thing about the volume and battery, what I actually meant was first everyone was complaining about the volume and then that was fixed. So now they need something else to complain about (battery). I made it pretty clear in my post that I know how to get the most out of my battery. Also I have no freezing problems (don't know what gave you that idea), and I know how to use my phone properly; Which means not messing around in the hidden menus. There are software updates from Samsung every 2 months for the 'Soul'. So yes, I would prefer to have Samsung fix a problem than try to do it myself and risk damaging my phone.
