Samsung has made like 5 similar galaxy models...they look the same...but theres is nonow which will have everything in it....with vibrant they havent give front camera...flash and FM radio...looks like they did it on purpose...this fone ranges about $ 400...and it doesnt have these basics functions like radio and flash....

The only 2 things I did not like about the phone was no LED flash and no front facing camera. Everything else was great.

hi, anyone knows how to flash the current 2.2 froyo back to 2.1 eclair or to froyo custom firmware?
I tried Odin software, but it only supports galaxy i9000 not the vibrant.

I just got my vibrant. It came with eclair but i upgraded it with froyo. Running very smoothly. Under mid range use (internet/videos/apps/music) & brightness level to 40% the battery gives 12hours+. Not too bad. Some of you may face the gps problem but don't worry it's a bug which google didnt work out while they updated 2.2. I fixed it by restoring to the factory settings couple of times after the upgrade. Overall it's a pretty cool phone.

AnonD-5070, 31 Mar 2011vibrant or iphone 4 ?!what does i phone 4 have over the vibrant - simple , a flasher for the camera / in many other ways i phone 4 gets pawned by vibrant - specially by the 4 inch super amo led display , i phone 4 display is good technology but its still a lcd panel . application , games wise both phones are the same .

Granit, 19 Mar 2011Yeah this is true you, but it works just in Xp.. actually your mistaken the Kies Mini software supports windows 7 and i updated my phone to 2.2 via the usb cable using windows 7 and k. mini software . i never had any problem doing that .

I think the 2.2 froyo on this phone its a peace of sh!t! Slow and laggy than 2.1 eclair

Great phone, lags a bit after using for a while and gets super hot when charging. The 3.5mm headphone jack is proprietary, it only accepts MOBILE headphones made by samsung! It's designed to be used as a tv out jack and since most headphones aren't compatible with that only regular (non-microphone) and samsung made mobile headsets will work with the galaxy.

in order to increase battery life. turn off 3g in your settings or get APNdroid on the market
