I love the phone, does exactly what I want.
Yes, music can be played while the phone is shut. You need to open "Media Player" and select your music, play of course, then you can shut the phone.
Only problem I'm having is installing new games or applications, which hopefully, will be solved soon.

I have one problem with this mobile, I bought it yesterday and when I plugged it to charge the battery, both screens remains lighting.
Is a problem of my terminal or is in all terminals?

It came with stereo earphone cum handsfree but it fit very poorly to my ear. Besides you don't really need it beacause no FM radio and the memory to small just enough for few mp3 file only. If you really need a handsfree -get yourself a bluetooth one.

this phone is very small so i can carry it even in my purse! very interesting its option photocall and sound call. i only regret that the volume of mp3 sound is very low...

Just bought X680 on 12/12/06- actually for my father. 2nd samsung so far the 1st one x200 for my mother. I found that samsung flip phone are very suitable for older generation because they can just open the flip to answer + close it to terminate call , so they don't have to guess which button to press like in candybar phone. the font size is very big too for shortsighted people. The display is brilliant(both x200+ x680) for small res of 128x160.
My phone came with internal memory 23mb + 2mb for java apps- more than enough for a lot of photo in vga res + few mp3.You can easily transfer photo or mp3 with pc/notebook/PDA with bluetooth.
I don't recommend this phone for anyone that need a proper music phone or need powerful phonecam- get yourself at least an x700 (if you are samsung fan) or SE k750. Not really both samsung or SE die hard fan but I always think of these 2 brand when buying any new phone. I use Alcatel S853 music phone now.

hi. I have had several phones in the fast, the first one was an ericsson, then a motorolla, nokia and the last one before i have this Samsung X680 for christmas was a Samsung E700. In summary Samsung is the best fone I ever had. and Samsung X680 is the best phone among the others that I ever had.

I love this phone design and ergonomics. So far the only fault I found is the low volume (IMO) for mp3 ringtones. Anyway I always go back to old fashion ring ring boring tones, so this won't bug me that much.

I've got this phone and I really like it.With the blotooth I have all the songs and the pictures that I want.Actually when I bought it all my friend where asking me which phone is that.And now a couple of my friends bought it too.I don't likr that but I guess it's ok.(excuse me if I didn't wrote that correct I don't speak english very well)

Bought the phone on Fri 1st Dec 2006 from Argos and got a free DVD player! Its a good phone but think I have must have a faulty batch...phone keeps switching itself off when in my pocket or bag. The external screen is black so you cant see your face and when you move it is about 2 secs behind is that normal? tried to take it back to Argos but they point blank refused to do anything about it switching itself off even though its within the 14 days and under warranty so beware!
