I just bought this phone yesterday and it’s my first Samsung ever. You can feel the quality when you first touch the phone, and it’s total opposite to my previous Siemens SF65. Like someone asked – you can store 200 SMS and yes, you can set the whole (I’ve tried like ~4 mb) mp3 as a ringtone.
Main flaws I have noticed: it has no apostrophe ( ’ ) symbol and it’s kinda strange, cause it has English language When you talk or simply open the phone external display stays lit and says nothing, doesn’t look nice at all, it would be nice to have Samsung logo or something. You can’t set message ringer and vibrator both at the same time, options are – ring, vibrate or nothing. Some other minor bad thingies too, but all in all it’s very good looking, well build and feature packed, really I’m glad I bought it…

I was wondering if someone could enlighten me about this: You can use MP3 as ringtone, but can you use a WHOLE MP3, and not just 100kb (like in sgh-x660). Does this phone have the same limitation? Also I would like to know if this phone will be scratched easily, or does it have the camera issue some Samsungs have (takes "pocket photos" while carrying it, and soon you'll have 50 black photos and an empty battery). Thanks in advance for the answers.

Hi there, I bought this cell phone, and I'm having difficulty in viewing the JPGS I'm transfering to it through bluetooth. Does it support only small resolutions or something?
Thanks in advance...

First of all, I must notice, what a stupid question is "can you record sound with it"... For those of you that wait for a phone to replace the microwave oven: they're still called phones! for now.
I want a phone that, in addition to what a phone is suppose to be (good reception & battery), has a great design (clamshell, slim, light, small, nice angles not too sharp nor too round). X680 is by far the best here, but (according to posts) seems mediocre at both reception & battery life. Another good option would have been the nowhere-to-be-found E770, which is also very pretty overall (20mm thin), and does not suffer from reception problems (it can also take place of an iPod, given the mem slot).
I read a very well-written review on E770, but could not found one on X680. Looks like I'm waiting for a yet-to-be invented phone :)

festa, I reckon you made a good choice. I have had this phone for a month now and I love it. It serves my purpose really well, and it is light enough not to bug you in your pocket or coat. I take loadsa pics, then transfer them to my computer to share with my buddies. You can set mp3s as ringtones too, which makes for good fun. Hurrah!!!

Hi,well i recently bought this phone last Saturday as a christmas present to myself so i can't have until christmas. However i obviously got to use it for a few minutes just to make sure everything works,so far it's easy to use and the camera and video quality is fine.It is also a lot smaller than i expected, around the same size as my current phone,E700.It's a great little replacement and now i can't wait for christmas.

I presume you can use a USB cable, a bluetooth dongle is nothing more than a remote version of the same thing. Take your mobile to a phone shop and ask which USB lead you need. One end goes in the PC and the other usually connects to the battery charger slot on your mobile.
