First thanks for ur reply i give u detail of memory status of my phone
Shared Memory
Availiable 3392KB
MMS 764KB
Email 1KB
File Manager 15556KB
Java 1158KB/4096KB
Now the sum of above is around 19713KB(excluding Java)
I also used full reset code & clear the CACHE OPTION but all in vain.
I think that the lost memory is only recovered by code(phone memory format) but i don't know the code and also it effect the warranty or not?
If u have any option than plz reply me as earlier. I am waiting for ur response.

Please write down “used space in KB” of images, videos, music, sounds, other files folders.... Go to settings.... memory status.... Shared Memory.... Now, you can check the available free memory and the used memory for mms, email, file manager.... Now, sum up the used memory of folders..... It must be around 30MB.... and java world has 4MB....
To cooldude:
The using of code (*#8999*8378#) does not void the warranty.... After changing settings, you can again reset to factory settings by using full reset code (*2767*3855#)....
To TBS:
My X700 can play 320KB/s MP3 file from phone's memory and memory card.... but it cannot play WMA files.... There are many Samsung phones with WMA support like Samsung Z540, D800, D830, E900, X830, T519, i300x, i310 amd so on....

Do u know any Samsung phones that will play songs that have wma? this phone cannot play this format and have any idea how to transfer songs to the phone when it don't accept more than 192kb/s and new software. Please help!!! Let me know as soon as possible.

To zeeshan,
Do u use gprs??chances are that the temoporery files are saved in the phone memory.clear the cache first.i will explain how to do it...first go to the web browser option and then select the option CLEAR CACHE.Do it and let us know what is the result.best of luck.

Salaam!
I am using this phone for the last 6 months.But now i am facing a problem of phone memory. Last day i had left atleast 15MB free memory but when i open the camera option a message appeared on the screen of full memory & when i check the memory status it show 0MB free memory.
I also reset setting but all in vain. I have lost atleast 15MB phone memory. Plz help me what can i do further?

new removable drive is not appearing in “My computer”. only the removable icon in the taskbar

Yes.... When you enter this code ( *#8999*8378# ) in standby mode, it appears like ( *#8999*---- ).... This is normal.... Then you can see “Test Menu” screen....
To Kris:
Have you been used any mobile phone before?.... because you can only see person's name in the “inbox” of message box if his contact information is saved in phonebook.... Otherwise you can see only his mobile number (instead of his name)....
To Irfan:
Hotmail service uses HTTP protocol for emails.... and X700 only supports POP3 and IMAP4 servers.... Use flurry mail software to access your hotmail inbox....
To MUD:
When you select mass storage option and click save, automatically a new removable drive appears in “My computer”.... Open it and copy/paste files from this drive to PC or vice versa.... The memory card acts as a new removable drive....

Ya u r correct.there are some diadvantages.but every phone has some.Mp3 player cannot be minimised means that u cannot do anything when u play Mp3.exept to listen to ong.

hey thank 4 the help..in that website it also stated some disadvantages also..is it true that the pictures cannot b viewed in full screen n the songs in the memory card cannot be set as ringtone..the keypad are unhandy..wat does no ringing profile n mp3 player does not get minimized means...can any please help me explain wat the disadvantages means...tq

I just have a question about this phone because I'm having a hard time recognizing who's text messaging me coz the name wouldn't appear on my inbox the only thing that appears is the number of the person that is texting me. as i said in my earlier mail, i am now giving three alternative download link to all the queries answered by USMAN in doc format instead of pdf format. The file size is only 112 kb. so just download it and if u want to add some new tips easily u can do it .
it took me lot of time to take out all the answers and search thru all the pages in the forum.

So, you don't have gmail ID.... You can only get this if someone send you invitation to make gmail account.... Please check your mails now.... I am sending an invitation to you.... Just follow the link provided in this email.... After making your own gmail ID, follow the procedure of gmail account setting for X700 email client posted on 13 November, 2006....
To attach files with emails, Follow this:
Go to Menu....Messages....Create New Message.... Email....
Now, Enter subject name....Select “Options” and click “Save” Then write your message.... Then again Select “Options” and click “Save”... Select “File Attach” and go to “Options.... Other Files.... Phone or Memory Card”.... This will open “Other Files” folder.... Select any file ( you can send any type of file whether it is doc, pdf, txt or any other type).... Now, go to “Options.... Send”.... A new screen of “Recipients” will appear.... enter email address of the receiving person.... If that person's name is present in phonebook with it's email address, then click “Options....Phonebook” Select any name.... That person's email address will be added to Recipients list.... You can send same email with file attachment to 20 persons at a time.... This is the power of X700's email client!....

I have successfully installed Opera Mini 3 through SMS ( gprs wap connection ) then, through USB cable from PC.... and both times, it is connected to internet with no problem.... It will unable to connect to internet if there is network connection problems ( may be service provider's fault )

To connect X700 with pc, install windows xp on your pc, then insert cd of samsung pc studio 3.0 software in cd drive and install driver for X700, then install pc studio 3.0 software and connect X700 to pc by usb data cable ( it is included in the kit). And immediately, message appears that new hardware/ device is detected and windows automatically install driver from cd. Then restart computer and open pc studio 3.0 software, then go to file menu…. Connection…. Select USB option and click connect. You will see the name of mobile i.e connected: samsung X700 . This is for first time only, and next time whenever you connect X700 with pc, software will automatically recognize your X700 mobile.
Now go to manage files option, you will see phone explorer dialogue box showing both Phone's folders and PC drives/ folders. You just need to select files from PC by right click on each file and click copy and paste to desired folder of X700. For many files, select all files using ctrl+A keys and click copy. Data transfer speed is more than 1MB/minute.
You can transfer /copy all kinds of files to/from pc. Amd also edit / delete all data of X700.
Always copy mp3/aac files to music folder, ringtones (mmf/midi) and amr sounds to downloaded sounds folder, video (3gp/mp4) to downloaded video folder,images to downloaded images folder. If you cannot follow this, then it will be asked to save in other files folder.john

Have u got the data cable???did u intall the software that came with cable.follow these steps....
1)Make sure that you are using windows Xp.If not then install XP firat.
2)Now insatll the software that came with data cable.make sure u install evrything including USB drivers and samsung PC studio.
3)After u have performed the above steps restart your computer.then plug the data cable to USB port.Look carefully at the end point of data cable there will be a particular sign.u will also see the same sign on ur CPU's USB port.plug there.

Hello everybody, i have one question, i don't get it how to transfer photos from the mobile to the PC via USB, because the only options are through Bluetooth, MMS and E-mail. If anyone can help i'll be grateful. Mention that I have the software instaled on my computer.
