Ya it is very much worth getting this mobile.Features list is really long.a 1.3mpcam,mp3player,Fm radio,expandable slot,bluetooth supporting A2DP profile and a lots more.
ya this mobile is long lasting too.There are some guys like USMAN in this forum who had this mobile for a long time.they are quite happy with.
Ya u can download wallpapers.it is expandable upto 1GB.
Songs storage depends on the memory u r using.PRINCE.

hey i m planning to get this hp..but i wanna know a few things...does this phone last long?can we upgrade the memory card n whats the sizeof the memory card when we buy?can we download wallpapers 4m the net n use it as a background in this hp?hw many songs can we put in?in overall is it valueable if i get it??so if any1 can help me out abt this hp...please send me a mail...tq

Re: Installtion problem with Opera Mini.
I have done an extensive research through the Opera Mini support site regarding the problem we are facing and it seems that there are many other who are facing the same problem.
The problem is related to the latest version of Opera Mini i.e Ver 3.0. and as per the resolution I see it seems to be also related to the mobile service provider. I am using Hutch in Mumbai. Could you please tell me what is your service provider?
In the meantime you can try installing Opera Min ver 2.0 to see if it works. Please check the URL for the forum given below:

To all users,
who are facing problem installing opera mini 3.0 thru wap, follow these steps. i have successfully install browser thru these steps and always use these steps to download opera new version.
Download these 2 file from UR PC browser into pc, copy this URL into pc Browser and save onto the fix drive.

Then install it thru USB Cable as u install games.

salam,usman brother still i am failed in this job.If you dont mind plz send me detailed procedure of making gmail account and how can i attach pdf file,word doc file etc,i read your post twice of 12,13,14 nov,but...????? So you are requested to plz email me regarding each and everything including (gmail account making)i have tried my best to solve this issue but a msg appears(you provided a wrong password) in google account.

thank u very much for your timely response. once again i have decided to buy x700 for my wife.i am quite happy about the performance of my x700.
prev i was using e730 from samsung , it is a great flip phone ,but one disadvantage no expandable card slot.
so i decided to go for x700 , and i always prefer samsung brand phones than nokia and SE. let us break that barrier.
people like usman , is doing a great job by helping others and side by side giving out the best possible way of using your cell phone.
once again i thank usman and others whoever has contributed to this forum by spending their valuable time.
here i will give you one good news for all usman lovers .i am compiling all the queries answered by usman in a pdf format and soon i will give u the download link. i contains all the doubts one can have regarding x700.

If you have gmail account, then it is very easy to understand the procedure that i have given on 13 November, 2006.... I recommend X700's email client for gmail account because it is more powerful than flurry mail software.... But anyway, you can add gmail account into flurry mail software....
On your PC, go to www.flurry.com and log in to your account.... Then you can see your account's information.... Click to “Add email account” link.... New page will appear.... Enter your email address and email password and press “Enter” button....
Note: Flurry mail shows all emails together, received from hotmail, yahoo, gmail an so on....

hi usman plz tell me regarding gmail.How can i get gmail? i have installed flurry,and also keep the setings as per ur instructions.I am using hotmail account; is it possible to keep hotmail as gmail account.I also read ur previous post regarding gmail but i cant gone through ur post properly.plz tell me what i have to do?

To desidude,
Before u buy samsung X700 consider also sony ericsson K750i,SE Z550i and LG KG200.
Sony ericsson has the best autofocus camera among the above mentioned and the music player is also good.But this phone has some problems too like joystick and software issues.For the price of 10500indian rupees u get the best mobile camera in the market and a good music player provided that u have to comprimise for the joystick and software and off course no EDGE.
SE Z550i..costs 8200 indian rupees.again this phone also plays great music but unlike SE k750i the camera is worst.no EDGE.
LG KG200..costs 8000 rupees.This phone is also known as dynamite.has 1.3mp camera exandable memory,good music etc.but lacks bluetooth and EDGE.
Now the best among the four is SAMSUNG X700.this phone has everything one expects in a mobile.Good 1.3 mp cam.stereo dual spekers for music.EDGE,bluetooth,Fm radio and everything else.
SO,the best deal is SAMSUNG X700.it is the clear winner.

Can yaa tell me how to save EMS from Samsung X700 to my PC. using the software it only shows Sms and for EMS it says read them from ur mobile. How can these EMS be saved to my PC?

Check that you are able to open wap sites through wap browser.... If not, then clear the cache of wap browser and try again.... Some times, java midlet like Opera Mini has connection problem.... Restart mobile and try again.... I have successfully installed Opera Mini after tried 2 times!.... Most of the times, this kind of problem is due to service provider's network...
Yes, some games are not working but many games are working with X700....like Prince of persia 3 , Racing Fever2, Tour De France and so on....

I have downloaded Prince of persia3 from wap site (wap-robin.com)... It is not saved in my PC....

Hi Usman,
I installed some games from the web site: wap-robin.com/java/pages.php?dir=176x220
But some of games are not working after installation. The game screen loads but it does not responds to any keys on the Samsung X700. I think it may not be compatible with X700.
The game that I am referring to are "Darkest Fear" (available on the first page) and Highway racer. It wud be appreciated if you cud check on this.
I successfully downloaded the opera mini browser as per your instruction, but I am facing problem installing the same. The installation bar goes till 100% and then a message appears saying "Cannot connect to Internet" although I see the "G" appearing at the top during the installation process. Please help me regarding this.

Ya i agree with the choice of usman but before buying the phone also check other phones like SE K750i,SE Z550i,LG KG200.
IF u want a great camera with good music player then K750i is the one for u.but i have heared that the joystick in the mobile get spoiled every 6 months and also the phone is in the market for about 2 and half years.in terms of looks it's behind X700.it doesn't have EDGE also.comes for 10300Rs.
talking about Z550i.again the specifications about this phone match with those of X700.a 1.3 mp camera,stereo mp3 player,FM radio,exandable slot(M2 micro).but remember M2 micro memory card can be hardly found in market.512 MB costs 2000Rs in india.this phone also doesn't support EDGE.also it's a clamshell desingn phone.Cmera looses to X700 but music is great.It comes for 8200RS.
LG KG 200....this one is also a strong contender but looses to X700 in terms of camera,looks and also EDGE.It comes for 8000Rs.
In simple words if u want a good looking phone with an excellent camera and a decent music player and Fm radio then X700 is the one for u.
