May be you have set bigger mp3 file as ringtone.... check it's file size.... try to set smaller mp3 file as ring tone.... you can make smaller mp3 file by using some kind of mp3 file cutter software....

If someone give me an offer for a free phone with choice between X700 and K750i.... then i will definitely go for X700....while few months back, i ranked K750 as number 1 and X700 as number 2 .... but when i found some more new features (like FM radio recording for 1 hour.... playback accepts ALL higher bitrates....successfully played an audio MP3 (file size of 70 MB / 320 kbps) from memory card.... phone call recording upto 1 hour using secret codes and so on)....then i changed my mind.... You can use X700 as stereo MP3 player using memory card upto 1GB.....Audio quality through headphones is excellent and very loud crystal clear sound.... while both X700 and K750 have some plus / minus points.....For more info....read my posts on 19 june 2006 / 30 august 2006 / 2 sept 2006 / 13 sept 2006....

I have only one ring tone on my phone s this correct ifso this is very very poor and I shall be telling all of my acquaitences not to buy this phone

AOA, May I ask something in this forum. i m new user of Samsung X700. how its battery work after charging? I used to before Nokia its battery too good like it. Is speaker phone option in this set or not? how long i record video, or just record clips? Plz give me answer..........

my name is talha.i have samsung x700.i m having some problem.i red a manual how to install jave through usb i tried but failed to install java.but after that facing a problem that when ever i download any java application through gprs when downloading complets my phone rebots.plz plz i give me any sugesion i will be realy thankuf to all of u.

it is very interesting mobile but i have one problem in this mobile when i do miss call to some one this mobile hang .some one has solution this problem plz give me solution by mail ok.......... thanx for ur cooperate

im plannin to buy this fone.. feature wise it seems great.. i heard of this forum thru my frnd..in fact dis is my first visit..
can u tel me how is the audio quality(mp3) when listening thru the headphones.. cos i want to use my fone as a mp3 player... im very much confused whether to go for this or k750i.. would be glad if u reply for this..

(To Sohail Kashif): u can install games/applications on the fone by using gprs, usb or bluetooth.. for further info plz use the 'search opinions' option.. try using relative words like 'usb', 'installing' 'java', 'bluetooth', 'http' etc.. for volume stuff try 'increasing', 'volume' etc..

(To usman): actually sir im not a big fan of indian ringtones.. it wud be really awesome if u send me some alarm tones.. and is there anyway i can instal apps like smartmovie to play videos on ful screen But thnx anyway for givin me alot of info and psm player

(To carol): the image quality is pretty fair enuff.. to resolve the issue do chek if the picture quality is set to high.. do also chek if the camera is clean.. and also the pic resolution is set to the largest or not..

The camera is not clear at all. the clarity is very poor. the snaps gets pixelated. the volume is not loud enough to be audible.

Unfortunately, you cannot play full screen video.... and MPEG4 Direct Maker can only convert video files to MP4 video.... To convert audio MP3 into MP4 audio, you need another free software.....named as NERO Burning ROM freeware cd burning software.....I am using it's 6.6 version.... To get it, go to www.nero.com
Open Nero Burning Rom software....You will see “New Compilation” wizard.... cancel it!....Now, go to Extras.... Encode Files.... Now add any mp3 audio file into it.... go to settings and select constant bitrate as 64 kb/s.....Encoder quality: high..... AAC Profile : high HE (high efficiency) AAC.... Click OK, then click GO.... this will start the encoding process..... so, the resultant MP4 is in same audio quality but with almost 50% small in size ( in MB ).....It can be played on windows media player (on pc) and on your X700 also!

Is there anyway to see the video being played in full screen in X700. Please tell me how to convert the mp3 file to mp4 file. I had tried with MPEG 4 Direct maker. But the mp4 file was not playing in my X700. Thanks in advance.
