Unfortunatly battery life is very poor really... But I found the program that is able to add applycations onto firmware. It's good, simple and spanish.

This phone when you see those features you think that i the exactly phone you want but is not true because when you use it you see that is the opposite.

Love the phone, but the battery life is a major disappointment. My previous phones have been able to last at least a week between charges, but this one is flat within 3 days. Not very useful if you are relying on it!
Does anyone know how to set a recorded sound as the message tone (if this is even possible)?

Just considering getting this phone on vodafone, does anyone know if there are problems with using mp3s as ringtones as there are with sony phones and vodafone?

I need to get more memory for my phone, but sandisk doesnt want to sell me more than 256MB for this phone. Can it cope with more? does anyone know?
Also, when i charge my phone, it switches itself off for no discernable reason. Can anyone explain this for me? many thanks

my opinion is, the battery life's well. 3-4 days. it's not bad! two display, cool into display - great! change 3g to 2g: network selection(menu 9.6.3) -> network mode -> GSM 900\1800

five months later it freezes everytime i try to do anything. now i have deverted all call to 1998 nokia 5110. not to mention the battery life.

AAC is the file format used by itunes. It is a higher quality than mp3 but also in most cases a higher size. baisicaly it gives you that extra flexibility if that song you want is not in mp3 format and you are unable to convert it. its not really a noticable difference

i have rezolved the battery problem by turning the 3g into 2g..but i have an other problem now...in pc studio...ii cant found the games folder and automaticly i can`t install any games...can any1 plz hept me with the games...PLZ ANY!!! :)

BT, IR: Menu > Settings > Connectivity
3G(UMTS)/2G(GSM): Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Network mode
MP3 AS RINGTONE: Menu > Settings > Phone profiles > (choose profile) > Edit > Voice/Video call ringtone > (choose an mp3 or anything else)
MESSAGE ALERT: Menu > Settings > Phone profiles > (choose profile) > Edit > Message alert tone > Special tone > Change*
*Seems that you can't put an mp3 but you can change the default one, or convert the mp3 you want to set to an mmf or activate some midi)
Don't think it's possible to connect the phone to the computer without the installation disk.
BLANK PICS: Lock the pictures that you need (you don't need a password), ans thend just use the "delete all" option if the phone takes blank photos. Only the unlocked ones will be deleted.
Has anyone resolved the theme problem?

Hi, has anybody ever worked out how to stop the camera from taking photos from inside a pocket? Getting kinda fedup of having to delete lots of blank pictures every day.

Kinda detest it..
kept on shutting down automatically or restarting.
the worse thing is that I've juz brought it out of service centre.
sucky..
so dun ask me about performance when I cannot even start using the phone

get the 6280. it's awesome. 2mp camera and yeh its the bomb. the z500 is crap to be honest!

Battery is pants! Im abit gutted really cos iv always prefurred samsung flips. I think i'll get shot of this, look for something longer lasting battery wise. any suggestions please give me a shout!!
Other wise quite a tidy phone, good games, mp3 compatable etc, set up/menu is abit naff tho. Overall 7/10 max
