im thinking of buying this fone, but one thing i want to know. How loud is the ringtone on this fone? If the ringtone is anything like the Sony Ericson K750i its not worth gettin the fone then coz I will constantly be missing fone calls. That would just piss me off.... Can anyone out there help me out.

I think that is the greatest phone i ever had!Just like seller said it has everything you need:
1.nice and easy menu
2.all samsung's have veery good screens with beautiful collors(this phone not exception)
3.It has 2 cameras and high resolunion fotos(i think we dont need more than 1 megapixel to phone)
4.you can record videos up to 1hour(didn't see any phone could do this)
5.you can upload and donload to this phone as many MB as you haev in phone memory or flash card
6.you don't need radio in it because there is mp3 player and this is realy better i think
7.and finally it is small and have nice design.
Just ONE thing i've missed in this phone is chronometer but it's not a problem.

i but samsung z 500 a few days ago and my batery is not that good.what i can do?i can find another one on the market?it is a greyt phone but the batery is a problem.can anyoane help my?

I live near enough to Newcastle, does the 3g depend upon where you live?? My o2 signal is usually very good in my area...is it the same thing it goes by?

hiya, well I ordered this phone because I liked it, not knowing what 3g was...haha so i found out its the video messagung, right?
well i doubt i'll really use it! so will my battery life be alright in that case?
MY current phone is the Sony Ericsson T610. The reasons I Am getting a new phone are-
1. I couldnt see the screen outdoors.
2. The memory was absolutely awful.
3. I wanted a flip phone coz my screen got dirty so fast!.
I just hope I have made the right xhoice with this one. If not...it'll be goin back.

Hi all
Everyone keeps moaning about battery life and 3g services......... if you turn the phone to 2g which you can do you use less power and the battery life works longer.....
never had any problem with alarms or clock and that's on vodafone.....
Video's for the gut that asked last as long as the memory card..
No flash or radio it's a phone and i have a camera and radio so never felt the need.....

ashley, i had o2 model as well, transferrin stuff is a doddle and cud do it in my sleep! hope ur 3g is better thn mine - thts another reason y i sent it bk i cudnt even get a signal so wat was the point in havin a fone i cud hardly use

i had this fone n thought it was gr8 at first. . . but - alarms didnt work, speaker was quiet and always missed calls, felt like it was gonna snap when i flipped it and it jus seemed to b missin somethin tht it desevered. i sent it bk and am now strugglin to think of replacement x

I have just ordered a Z500 of the net today, and was really excited about it coz it seemed like such a good phone.
Now i've read some reviews I realise its a new phone, and is pretty rubbish. I''m worried about the clock actually! because I use the alarm a lot on my current phone, and I hope this isnt going to be a problem.
The battery life I can deal with beacuse ill just charge it evry night.
The reviews do seem very mixed, but now i'm a little concered its not going to live up to my expectations.
Its an o2 model, which in all fairness seems to be the better choice.
Another thing, is it easy to use? i mean are things easy to find, and getting mp3s on a doddle, and that kinda thing.

The expandable memory question is a bit of a hard one to answer... I'm sure you can, but I haven't even seen a 512MB microSD or TransFlash card yet(they're the same thing, just make/regional variations)

Is there any reason why this phone wouldn't work in Australia yet? Do you NEED a 3G SIMcard, because I presume it will run fine without one (3G that is). Vodafone won't be releasing this until October here, and I think i'll just get it shipped over now.
Just want to make sure it'll work.

a few questions if someone would please answer! Is the photo quality ok with this (as there's no flash)?
also, how long can u record videos for? can you record for as long as the memory you have left?
lastly, can you expand up to 1GB maybe more?

I bought this phone a week ago and i love it- some features take a bit of effort to set up but in the end it is worth it. It is true that the battery isnt amazing, but if you are constantly playing mp3s, talking to people and using the net, its gonna wear down- the battery hasnt been a problem for me.
Anyway- i have a question for anyone out there who has a z500 and uploads videos on to it- anyone know how to upload more than 6MB a go? The PC studio 2.0.9 from samsung has this maximum upload per time for a video. Any other software to use? Any help would be appreciated.

this phone is great, it has everything you need except radio. besides that also great design and good feeling of quality!!! if you want a quality phone you go for a samsung!
