Does this phone have a "ring & vibrate" option for mp3 ringtones?

Lola, to turn off the beeping you need to choose the profile you want and press 'edit'. In 'Msg.alert type', you can choose either malody, vibrate or both. This will determine whether the msg sounds or not. You can also choose 'Msg.alert repetition' to either make the msg tone sound once or periodically until you check it. Remember to SAVE after you've checked something, it doesnt apply automatically.

Have had this phone for about 2 months, the predictive text can be a bit annoying, especially when trying to type "i'll", but other than that absolutely LOVE it! really loud and the internal memory is more than enough. No lagging through the menu system either... great handset

sophie-thanks for trying to help. the shortcuts in the phone settings only allows me to change the arrow keys around the menu button. It does not show me options to change the upper left and right soft keys. Is there any way to change those?

to lola to change your shortcut keys you go into
1. phone settings
2. in that there is phone settings
3. then number three is shortcuts and you can allocate how to change the shortcuts can anybody help me with my problem of turning of the beeping after sending a message?

Can some one help me. I am creating a message and using T9, I want to put a word in the middle of a sentence starting with a capital letter (Sue). When it is on T9Ab the word still come out with lower case at the beginning. What am I doning wrong?

I've had this phone for a week now and I absolutely love it!! I was wondering if anyone knew how I change the right and left soft keys. They came with the left key as Messages and right key is the Browser. I have looked in the shortcuts menu and found I can only change the arrows in the center. Does anyone know how I can change these two soft keys?

To make a MP3 as a message tone I use a program called 'MP3 To RingTone Gold' program to save the mp3 to mmf format which is the format that the message alert tone uses. Then go to your Phone Profile and change the message alert tone to 'special tone' which you can load your saved mmf, once tranferred to your phone. Hope this helps

would any of you know how to assign an mp3 as a message alert - have Yoda saying "message for you there is" but can't work out how to allocate it, would you let me know via opinions, thanks.

Excellent phone so far really pleased- loved the Samsung V200 and this could be on par if not better - the front screen goes off to cut down of power loss - to view it when the phone is closed hold down the volume button on the left hand side and the screen will light up - clever really when you think about it - no point of it being on if you aren't looking at it

As for the V3 this phone beats it in every way. The V3 doesn't ave a mem card so I dont know what your on about there and it only has 5.5 meg. and it only has a VGA camera, The Z510 on the other hand has 138 meg and a 1.3mp camera. The Z510 beats the V3 in every way.
infact the only V serise phone you can truly compare the Z510 th is the V3x. As thats the only 3G V serise there is.
Now the V3X is fater, Heavier, But i will say The V3x has over this is the fact it has a mem card and a 2mp camera. But thats all.
SAMSUNG win every time much better Phones

The Motorola V3 has no card slot, and only - 5.5 MB internal memory. So wtf

in regards to the cover display fading and having to open the phone up all the time.. no need to do that!! :) all you need to do is hold the volume button on the side and the backlight will turn on, which will display any new mesages etc..

I use my phone as a diary as well. Do the anniversaries in the Z510 roll over and is there a option to auto delete in the taks/to do list?

in this months what mobile (uk) this fone is hspda ready but it does not state it here.Most uk carriers shud have it up and running by end of year they reckon but it will still be only where current 3g is available
