can anyone here help me setup my sh703 in the philippines. i cant use the gprs/wap/mms features. i brought it to smart communications and they still cant shed light on how to make it happen.

Quick question. I am debating between this phone and the NEC N840. The main thing I'm looking for is a good camera (good for a phone camera). Are there any websites with pictures taken using this phone? Or have any of you posted pictures online taken with this phone?

for all of you using Sharp703.so your problem is that you cannot use mp3 files as ringtones...tell you honeslty..if your sharp703 is japan OS.you cannot assign mp3 as ringtones..theres is a system that sharp703 cannot read mp3 files as ringotnes,,so it appear cannot play or open files...coz firmware is japan..i encounter this problem to..becoz my sharp703 is came frm japan too...so when i use here at philippines..many time a try to assign mp3 as ringtones but its useless..and its lock..so i went to my friends whos a cellphone technician..so he unlock my cellphone,,and repogram it so that i will use here in philippines,...but the problem is that some features of Sharp703 is gone..like phone theme...but its ok..since i dont use that features..but the good thins is that i use mp3 as ringtones..even the video files a can assign it as a ringtone also...3gp files extension name...all kind of audio or video format..i can assign as ringtone.no encounter problem...try to reprogram you sharp703.im sure you can use mp3 as ringotones,

I have a cute pink 703 SHf, the japanese version. Of course i have the same problem of the re-provisioning message and not being able to use mp3 format as ringtone. I tried mik's suggestion, but was not successful, even with reduced bitrate and all. I can play aac format as media file, but i am not able to use it as a ringtone as well, eventhough i've used a legal copyrighted song. Is the japanese version doomed not to be able to play mp3 or aac ringtones? Please,anyone... help! I love the phone, it's cute..

for 703SHf, i believe there's only the japanese firmware for it and there's no support for t9 on japanese firmware. you also can't get rid of the re-provisioning 'problem' as it is not a bug nor a problem for the japanese firmware.

i think for japanese firmware doesn't support mp3, you'd have to convert your songs to acc format to be able to play them on your phone.

just got this phone and a 1 gb minisd, hoping to put some of my own and friends music onto the media player, but im having trouble working out where to put the files? also, even after lame conversion to constant bitrate w/128kbps the files in my sounds & ringtons are not playing.
i have the japanese version.
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just bought a Sharp 703SHf wif jp firmware. The set does not have T9 and I have the Re-Provisioning problem everytime I access the menu.
How can I get T9 n remove that Re-Provisioning problem??

i can use mp3 files as ringtone....just email at iraren1418@yahoo.com.. i will tell you how i use my MP3 files to asign as ringtone...

Hi, does anyone know how to assign a mp3 ringtone for SH 703? i got the japanese version too.. i can listen to mp3 but cant assign mp3 as a ringtone. Can anyone help me please?

Hello, I've just bought this phone of of ebay and it's seems really great! Only... it tells me that my sim card is "unregistered"... the phone is locked to vodafone and my sim card is a vodafone sim so I don't see why it's not working...

I have a Panasonic Mini SD in mine.. Dont know if that helps.. =) Love the design on the 703, thought I would of prefered the orange one (I have the Green one) Music features are good on this phone, and you can share pics / music by infra red and bluetooth unlike some other sharp phones.
