yes it is true that the sms can have more than 160 characters...
what version r u using at the moment? i cant really advise u to change to the euro since it is not really the best..haha....

i only know the HK GRPS settings.... but in the forum i went to, i could find a way to put the games into the SD card without using GPRS...just did some settings inside the phone so u could directly put games into the phone....

sorry i am not sure about versions... my phone isnt using the fully euro version since iv changed it from the japanese test mode to the euro version and indeed i still can read chinese characters in my chinese sms...lol...maybe u ought to ask more first before doing anything...

Hello again..
Can you help me advice to upgrade my 903 to UK version fw? I look at the setool web, but nothing i could find to support my phone to 1.140(mine is 1.03Q).
Is it true that flashing to uk fw, i could write sms more than 160char?

Really? That sucks.. Maybe i should flash it euro fw soon or is there any alternative to make the video tone work with my current fw?.. Oh and no, i'm not chinese :)

u have 2 open the 4n 2 see if uv recieved any txts...... how annoying!!!!
sharp simply could have had a external screen 2 do that job !!!!!!!!

iv heard that there are bugs if u r using the taiwan version...im using the euro version and i dun have any probs at the moment...btw...r u chinese?

Hey....i got the 903, it has an awesome screen but there is alot of annoying things about this phone. i already know how to set the mp3 as my ringtone, and alot more.....but i just wana ask you guys for some GOOD FREAKING GPRS SITES so i can download some games...the games seriously sucks on this phone...so please.....tell me what sites i can go on my phone to download games....any good sharp WAP SITES....if u need help with MP3 problems....u can email me....joycesong888@hotmail.com

Iv tried the bideo ringtone before but the video format has to be 3GP and has to be smaller than 1mb. Maybe u can try finding the software called "3GP_Converter", green icon, this will definitely work...and the video has to be located in the phone NOT the SD card...

Q3: Yes u can, but u must change ur videos to the format 3GP in order to watch it on ur phone
Q4: No
Q5: Not sure about that actually...its depends....but mostly it is likely to use very long...unless the batt starting to get damaged...

for the ringtones, u can try using the software, "Goldwave" to increase the volume of the ringtone.

i just bought this hi-end phone -sharp 903 in Taiwan.May i ask you something..is there any way i can increase the sound of my ringtone?
Also, i have type in the codes to check the software version.The displays shows:

I wonder what does this mean? Can you explain further..

Waaa i rily lyk this phone but still a bit skeptic since voda screwed up sharps "sharpness" hehehehe
I am planning to buy the japanese model of this phone so any1 hu have it pls answer this questions honestly!
1.can u play any audio clips w/o the need for any drm or protection??
2.can u send files using the phone's blutooth or just receive things?
3.can u send videos from pc to cp and play it back freely??
4.can messages be save to the sd card or a certain capacity of messages is only allowable?
5.since its a 3g phone how long is its power?

has anybody tried doing a video tone? i tried to set up a video tone for my message and somehow it doesnt work. it says file is not supported. the video is only 11 secs and i converted it to 3GP. Am i doing it wrong? Can anybody help me out with this problem? Id really appreciate it..

i'm very upset on what happen to my sharp903. it was black-out after i tried to ON & OFF the Power for three consecutive times. but my battery is full charge before i done that instance. and now it doesn't charge anymore the pen light was only blinking once i Power ON my unit and trying to charge it. please send me what to do with my problem. dO i need to buy a new battery and where can i buy here in the philippines? since the unit was only less than two months (brand new) since it was send to me by my sister from Japan. hoping for your kind & immediate response. thank you

The 903SH cannot play MPEG movies. They must be 3GP or SD_MOVIE ASF. It's easiest to convert your movies to QVGA 3GP.
There are many free converters out there, one of them being the 3GP Converter 031.
Store them in the Video Folder under "My Items".
