Same screen size, same battery, practically same SoC as the Sense8, but it's getting heavier and larger? Why Sharp, why? Just to fit in the new camera sensors? Who cared about 32MP selfie camera if it's still fixed focus?

Sales do not represent anything if the most readily available flagships purposely do not come with these features.
Not everyone can afford or even shoul have to pay for overseas shipment and then imports duties just to use a smartphone.
Let me make it easy for you.
If a phone maker doesn't even make a high end flagship with those features to begin with, then naturally nobody can buy it and sales for bad phones go up since it's the only available option.
Don't make any more dumb comments.
Forced to buy is not the same as user doesn't want to buy.

Let me make it simpler simce you can't seem to understand.
People CAN'T buy phones with the said features is not the same as people DON'T WANT to buy them.
That's like saying supercars shouldn't exist cause the sales are low.
Most people make purchase decisions based on their financial ability which is not sustainable if they have to import flagships across the whole globe. Smartphone prices have increased way more than an average persons income. This is even worse when you factor in inflation. I'm not about to teach you basic deduction skills and economics here but just to recap.
Companies TOOK AWAY THISE FEATURES.
THEY WANTED TO CREATE SOLUTION FOR PROBLEMS THAT NEVER EXISTED
PEOPLE CLEARLY STILL WANT THOSE FEATURES.
it's just that very few of us are still vocal about it. And then there's blonde ambitions like you.

If you want to buy it and have it shipped to your place you can use some kind of proxy service, for example Buyee, Tenso, Sendico etc if you want to buy from Japan. Not sure about Singapore proxy services but there are plenty of ones for Japan. If you search for "aquos sense9 sim free" you should be able to find the Amazon JP page for it and then buy it through a proxy service or possibly directly from Amazon JP.

Have u ever se... moreDeath of Audio Jack and storage expansion is not a result of people phasing it out, the cause is a conflict of interest on the phone makers part, even the most garbage Bluetooth audio solution is pricier than good wired ones and they are extremely easy to lose, drop, break or the inevitable battery death which forces people to keep spending money. Same goes for storage expansion, people make illogical claims like oh you can't have apps on SD Card cause it's slow or can't record high bit rate videos, well you can use it as a back-up! Keep apps on faster internal storage and keeps large files with relatively low data rate requirements like images, audio, older emulator games, video backups, documents, archives on the SD Card but again, a clear conflict pf interest toward cloud storage or Arm-twist the user into buying a more expensive variant with higher capacity.
People like you are just cherry for them so they have unpaid employees fighting everyone on forums and sites so they don't have to.

David 040882, 15 Jan 2025You have the Aquos R9 with 7+ Gen 3Love the plain boxy design on that thing but no audio jack. After using OnePlus 7 Pro for 5-6 years without an audio jack, I can objectively say that audio jacks are non-negotiable for me.
I can endure the lack of SD Card with a low power Raspberry Pi NAS but no more compromises on audio ever.
I'm trying to find a good deal on Xperia 1 VI but it's damn near impossible.

I've cheched the online prices in Singapore, it's just under 400 euros.
