very disappointed. bad user interface, slow gprs, slow java, slow app. avoid this model, and buy a nokia.

Very nice design but lacks a durable battery.
After making 3 or 4 phonecalls the battery is almost half empty and this really spoils a great concept.
Also there`s no infrared or bluetooth build in the phone, so most people decide to use the M55 only for 2 years or so ( i think) and then buy a new GSM that wil have more capabilities than the M55 has today.

it is a very good phone with easy menu like nokia and reliable. It must have irda and it must shows the time after a call. The games are not good but all the other things are ok.The safe of my phone is locked and i want to ask if anyone knows how to unlock the safe.

i am amazing that i can't see in call list the hour and day when i call.it shows only recived and missed.another bad thing is entire menu, but i use to that.set300 has a lovley menu and if siemens inspire from se they could sell double phones than now

I am so thankful for the chance to tell how much I hate this phone. The viewscreen is very difficult to see in daylight, the ringtones are difficult to adjust because of the complicated phonebook groupings, the volume just can't get loud enough to be heard in the mall and the tiny buttons are inconvenient. The only thing I like about this phone is the weight. It is a very small and lightweight phone. But I certainly feel like, "no wonder the salesman was anxious to give it to me free".

I can't understand why would anyone say that this phone is good. I bought this phone a month ago and regretted cos it has such a retarded speed that I had to wait at least 10 seconds to 1 min for every function to be executed. Key pad is insensitive so you usually have to press real hard. GPRS is slow but Java apps is super slow. I'm not a fan of nokia but my previous 6610 outperformed this garbage in every aspect. Avoid this phone at all cost!

This is one fine phone. Great call quality and features. Excellent memory (the file system is like using a PC) and MMS capabilities (beats the Nokia 3100/6100/6610/7210 et al hands down), especially in feature-to-price ratio.

                                    Answers to some questions:
                                    1. You can download the Siemens Data Suite for the M55 free from www.my-siemens.com/m55. This allows you to transfer content to and from your phone.

                                    2. Try www.mobilelifeweb.com for links to sites offering free java, pictures and ringtones (you will need a data cable to transfer from PC to phone)

it is a nice mobile phone. but when i bought brand new there is no disc software. so i am not able to sync my phone with my laptop. so if you can show how to get the software for data exchange i woild appreciate it very much. then i can only make my full assessment of M55. Thanks.
