K., 23 Jan 2010There is no camera on the front, for video calling you have... moreU can sort that by making ur phone default for pc as modem, then set ur network type and u have a choice of 4 things ur phone can do whilst connecting via usb. Choose menu. Hope tht helpz.

I have my aino for about 2 month, never freezed, never nothing of those disadvantages they talk... Just an amazing phone! Superb Camera, great sound and display, Wi-Fi, the GPS is great too...
Only thing i don't like is the POP up menu that when you receive a message it pop's up the internet icon, and no way to change that (yet) :)

There is no camera on the front, for video calling you have to turn the phone around! (not good)
I have experienced freezing once, it was when i tried to take a photo whilst on a call. I had to take out the battery to reset it in the end.
Having said that I have also had freezing on all of my other phones LG, samsung etc.
Not keen on the 1/2 touch screen as well, You can only use the touch screen for the media functions, for everything else you have to slide open the phone.
However the touch screen is very accurate compared to the LG phones.
The usb data cable function is bad aswell, when you connect it shuts down the phone to access and then takes forever to start back up.

Aino owner....many people complain of the screen freezing....so you mean to say that it has not even done that once?...so these people are bull shitting is it?or are u just living with the problem? Dont get me worng.I am a SE fan too...never ever used a nokia in my life.but its actually not that nice to have an unstable phone like the aino.sorry man.have fun with ur phone

I'm an SE FAN but it took weeks before i made a decision on what should i buy. Yeah LOWRIDER is correct, SE AINO is a "Handsome idiot".
-No front camera(w995 does have)
-No bottons to press(with slider close)for you to access the menu(only the media menu, unlike w995). Which means you need to open the slide before you can acecss everthing and gives more chance to wear out the flex slide.
-battery life is less(most of the guys said)
-absence of 3.5mm jack that means you need to rely on the bluetooth device which only last for 5-6hours of usage.(not recommended for music lovers)
-very expensive with just a plastic cover
-limited touch screen usage for media only(AMF! How about using the internet? I do prefer touch screen phones when browsing the internet coz it is much easier to browse compare to navigational buttons)If SE include the limited touch screen usage for browsing the internet that would give a thumbs up for them.
Soon newer models will be release that will be much better than AINO. There are so many things SE need to correct. SE made a dissappointing decision to release AINO with so many flaws. Although AINO looks perfect from the first glance better think twice before buying it. I'll go for the last walkman phone model SE W995!

The comments here are incredibly rediculous...All I can see are people talking about bugs and disadvantages that i haven't encountered; it makes me think that these people aren't actual owners of the phone>>but simply haters!! I have owned this phone for more than two months(my 1st SE phone), and it is an amazing phone! Beautiful design, superbly responsive touch in the media menu and downloadable touch applications, excellent camera(very vivid zoom), brilliant audio experience whether connected to a fastport headset or via bluetooth, wonderful display and colours which makes me enjoy downloading wallpapers...
Minor disadvantages: low volume of mono speaker, few themes available so far, and more touch capabilities would have been a perfect bargain!
I find all the negative comments completely irrelevant and proof that these ppl haven't actually handled the phone!! If you're looking for style, an awesome camera, great screen, wonderful music, and don't want to completely get rid of using a keypad>>this phone stands out for the errand!!!!

3G can be used without a camera!!! But if you are talkiing about the videocalls, then you are right!.

hi there in the process of buying either se satio or aino...but reviews are pretty scary....talking bout updates and then works properly..freezes...totally confused now :( help

Aino is in the list of gratest phones SE ever made. And what that creature said? the screen is too big?
What kind of complain is that? When everyone else is bothered by too little screen, then he came up complaining about too big screen.

Hie guys...I am here to answer those who have a problem choosing SE W995 or Aino.I was in this dilemma too.But after some research about this Aino, I find Aino like a handsome idiot...if u know what i mean.Aino looks good but it comes with problems when u buy it.Out of 90% of the reviews and comments are negative.Amongst is that the screen freezes very often even after the updates by SE.I am a fan of SE.But sometimes the truth is bitter Aino is bad.Whatever is with that stupid name!!!w995 is a
better phone.Go for it guys.I just got rid of a problem made by SE ....my k850i.Im being transparent with you all.Thumbs up for SE for a least making a good phone.Will be getting my w995 soon!!!
