Hi. By this time you all would have read on the home page regarding SE Aino pulled out from sales in UK.

however, i beg to differ. SE Aino is a realy good phone.
First off, the screen is really great. Colours are perfect and the 16M colours is on par with nokia's. Touch screen has NO ISSUES AT ALL absolutely since day 1 when i bought the phone. It is now the 2nd week im using it and NO Problems occured.
Battery is long lasting just like normal SE phones, NEVER encountered any sort of restart, NO hangs. the only drawback that i can say is the creaking sound on the keypad. Built quality is not up to expectations.
the keypad makes quite some noise when sms-ing speedily. I'm not sure if this is just my set or is it normal.
Firmware wise, all is good. The small lags may be due to the flash theme. Happens in other SE phones as well when entering menu.

ALL IN ALL, i'd highly recommend this phone to my friends. Apart from the keypad and lack of 3G video camera, the rest is fantastic :)

Anonymous, 28 Nov 2009i still insist Aino hasn't been pulled from the market. ch... moreI got my Aino from Qatar as I live here. I got it for QR.1870 (USD 515) from Carrefore.
I haven't encountered any sort of software or hardware problems or defects or glitches. Battery is fine so far as I bought it newly I am playing with it a lot (2days flat after full charge). Numeric keys are fine for me, I didn't encounter bumping into the wrong key press. Slider quality is what I like about it. Very fluid. It's a spring action type so you just need to push a bit just like (Nokia E66). OS is good it never lagged or restarted for me any time. I suggest to change the theme only to a simple one or change the Icon to simple icon (without the animation of the theme) rest its fast. Screen is beauty very clear.

Only disadvantage is the limited screen, but that's what I like about it and bought it for, as I am not use to full touch to dial screen. Its a great thought idea form SE for users who want touch screen but want a dial pad/numeric pad too. Second is there is no front facing camera you will have to use the main camera for Video call.

No offense to anybody. I don't understand why a phone has to be criticized so much. For the past 2 weeks ppl are writing that this fone has so n so problem this n that. Getting pulled out from some stores. It's just a Phone, there is always an update which will sort out things. Only thing we have to look into is whether a phone should not have any sort of hardware defect or problems. I had a Nokia 5800 which I bought it the very first week of its launch and guess what it was a nightmare. The fone had so many bugs, freezes and the ear piece defect too. At that time no such store Pulled it out? nor there was any sort of BIG Breaking news on websites. Nokia then mended the software and defective ear piece and from then on that fone works great (Despite I sold it).

Thus, no such offence to anyone. I use both Nokia and SE.

                Thank you

Aino was not to my liking. It's just perfect in all areas apart from the screen. Fingerprint marks go on it so easily and when comparing it to the omnia i8910, I wish I bought that phone.

                                Hello All,
I have just recently bought a SE Aino. I am writing this post in reference with the pullout of Aino from the Store in UK. I live in the middle east and have a middle east version. SO far I haven't experienced any sort of the so called "Dodgy Screen". The touchscreen works flawless and no sort of glitches in it. The phone didn't freeze even once after heavy usage the first day I bought it. The speakers are awesome and are very crystal clear. GPS works great too. Camera is fair enough. Build quality superb. Call quality is good too.

Thus, I haven't regretted after buying Aino.
