Well i've been keeping an eye on all you guys' comments on Aino for the past week.. Especially Ritwik, Samya n all.. Hi to all!
I currently own a Nokia N81 8GB that i bought last year and i'm afraid it's unusable now.. The display and keypad are screwd to quite the extent (mainly cos of water damage and also due to the poor quality build of N81)..
I'm looking forward to buy a new phone and as soon as i saw the Aino i thought "Why not switch to SE?"
To be frank the phone looks sexy.. Looks like a supermodel with quite a portfolio on the internet.. I really love the looks of this phone..
I'm quite the person who texts a lot... a lot! I'd send around 200 texts a day to my gal.. So the keypad on the Aino really seems to be a PLus for me..
And i was also looking for a touchscreen and the Aino seems to have a wonderful capacitative touchscreen specially for media.. That's cool cos i basically wanted touchscreen to play around with music, photos n videos.. And the 8.1 MP camera on it seems awesome..
However what matters to a user (to me atleast) in the future after buying a phone is not just the looks but the usability, user-friendliness of firmware, availability of 3rd party softwares... etc. and other ways to get more out of ur phone and keep it alive..
Since the phone is Java based i'm quite unsure on whether to buy it or not.. There aren't many gr8 Java apps for phones out there as far as i know..
I also do not own a PS3 so the Remote Play feature wud be quite useless to me..
Here are the features that matter to me:
- Looks & Build quality
- Music quality (on headphones and its speakers)
- Camera quality
- Texting
- Touchscreen (cos i wanna join the 'touchscreen age')
- WiFi (internet browsing)
- Availability of 3rd party apps (like games and other cool stuff)
- Battery life (for messagin and listenin to songs simultaneously while on the move)
I've considered other phones too (like the W995) but Aino seems to be unique from the rest.. Will i regret buying the Aino like i now regret buying my N81? If you guys feel so please suggest any other phone in the range 20,000 to 25,000 Indian Rupees (or 1,500 to 2,000 AED)
The price of Aino in Dubai is AED 2,099/-

The best of Sony Ericsson phone are: Satio,W995,XPERIA X10(but type on google XPERIA X5) and Aino!

The next would be that it is only touchscreen when using the media player and certain java apps, again Sony Ericsson say they will be able to change this with a firmware update as the phone can support full touchscreen. Thats pretty much it. The keypad's keys are slightly small and close together so i sometimes accidently pressed the wrong button, but after one week's use this never happened again

search for these 2 markets on the yellow pages and get their contacts.
satio is 4000 in rizkalla and 3900 or something in radio talaat

Is there any... moreHey in my opinion i would go for the Aino because Satio is overpriced and there is nothing special about Satio especially the camera 8 and 12MP is the same good photo quality during the day time. Aino is at a reasonable price for now and definetly worth to buy. For myself i already ordered a white one and it's coming this week and only cost $500 CAD. Also i forgot the mention if you want cool accessories like the desktop stand charger and the bluetooth headset go for the Aino cuz Satio only comes with a stylus.
