Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970K810i has been known as the reborn of k800i but there were issues like about the durability of the keypad (like malfunctioning after a period of time).
C510 however is a more durable device and adding the extras like the smile shutter,face detection,a slightly bigger screen and a more updated UI,but it lacked the more proper bloodline of the other Cyber-shot and that was a Xenon flash.
If you want more durability and a more up-to-date features like the media center and the smile shutter and face detection software I would recommend the c510.
But if image quality is your thing(Xenon is the best thing that could ever happen to any camera phone),then k810 is your thing.
But for me my k800i still proved to be the best both in durability and in image quality (Too bad there's no software update that can make you use the media center and other extras)

But for me I would still stick up with that C510,due to durability and more camera extras like the Smile shutter and face detection technology.
But if you want an upgrade for your C510 to a xenon (joining up with those extras like the smile shutter smile detection) then there's a better choice and it's the C901 problem is it's still not available worldwide.
So if you don't care about durability and want more indoor pics choose the K850
But if you want more camera extras and a more durable handset stay with your C510
But if you are willing to wait for the combined one (K850 combined with C510) and it looks durable then choose C510.
But for me I'm staying with the legendary K800i. ^o^

If you need the xenon flash get k810i(great for night photos)
For everything else get the C510a.

Hi Guys,
I bought c510 yesterday.. Its awesome in its price range.
Yes , there is option for 3.5 mm jack!! You can connect it to Sony hands free. Camera is good. Only drawback is camera performance is average in low light conditions.
Price is 11,000 in bangalore.

The screen is 2.2'. That's big but somehow sony ericsson has successfully made it appear smaller. Look at the extra space on the top part of the phone. They could put a 2.4'-inch display in there. They should have made the phone with a shorter dimension, or raised the screen a little higher putting some space between the softkeys and the screen (like that of c901).

The price is dropping here in the Philippines. It now costs around 9,800 pesos from 10,300+. But still a bit overpriced for me. Hoping the price still drops further. Value for money is what i'm looking for. I'll buy this when the price reaches 8,500. When will that be? Next year? Hahahah.

Confused One., 23 May 2009ohoho! thx 4 helping me out. wah! so long i din go into ... moreWell you're phone should be fully charged before upgrading the firmware update over the air,if you upgrade it then it goes empty battery then there might be a possible defect on the firmware.So it's safer if you use a computer. :D

so no pro... moreK850 is a good phone,but it has it's downsides like the BROD (Blue Rings of Death) it may cause your phone too malfunction and the three touch sensitive buttons can wear out easily if not taken proper care.
For sound quality it's great,Sony Ericsson phones are great through sound quality even if it's a cyber-shot it's great.
For image quality well I think the elderly k800/k810 is a good choice.
The c510 has the advantage of better clarity outdoors,well about indoors... let's say you know about the attitude of the c510 indoors
