Got my C902 about 3 weeks ago. So far I'm loving every part of it. It basically is just the phone I was waiting for. A phone with great features, a sexy look and one that doesn't feel like a brick in my hand. And the C902 fulfills all of those criteria perfectly. I'm amazed by how thin the phone is given it has a 5MP camera in it. I hadn't updated my phone in about 3 years since I was waiting for one to come along that had good features and I actually liked, and when I saw the C902 I grabbed it straight away.

Operation-wise, I can't really fault the C902. My sister has a K770. Comparing that phone to this one, you can tell that the K770 is slightly faster than the C902 is. However, that's a small price I'm willing to pay given the upgraded features. Build quality wise, the C902 feels as solid as can be, and is perfectly shaped and never becomes a burden to a user after prolonged use.

As for sound quality, so far haven't found any problems. In comparison to any other phones I have used, I can't say the C902 doesn't live up to standard, because from my perspective it's perfectly fine.

Only problem I've had with the phone so far is it froze on me once about a day or two after I got it while I was charging it and I tried to take a picture. Was totally unresponsive, but after removing the battery and putting it back in, the phone was back to normal and it hasn't happened since. Hopefully just a once off glitch.

Anyways, if you're thinking about getting a C902, I'd say go for it. Probably one of the best phones out there at the moment, and one that you will enjoy having for quite some time.

very solid and well put together phone.
keypad can be a bit awkward, camera is great.
The only real complaint is the occassional
    reboots - same as w910i and K850i.
A little weighty, but that "adds" to the
    overall solid feel.

great phone, camera is very good,is it 8 photos in 2 secs?? battery life doesnt seem as good as the k810 the buttons seem a bit tricky to use texting sometimes, i havent had any probs with the alarm at all, the loudspeaker and music could be a little bit louder though,i love the contact pics u can add that come up when u call someone or they call you, i am very happy with the phone

Does the photo taken by c902 have date imprint at the lower right corner? Like k810 or k800? Since K850 no such function.

Is the LED flash powerful enough for you to capture a photo under a extreme low light (or NO ligh) condition? or just the same as previous model like w800? Or is just the same as Nokia 7390, if you are familiar with that model? (I know im not suppose to mention Nokia here but just want to have a comparison)

just saw this today... very stylish... shame about the screen and the absence of xenon flash... debuted cheaper than the k850.... if you want a stylish camphone, then by no means take a look at the c902...

The alarm on this phone is definitely dodgy!
I set all 5 alarms this morning at 10 minute intervals, not 1 went off!

I was 2 hours late for work due to this!!!

Otherwise I am quite happy with the phone, but it is very inconvenient not having a reliable alarm function.

I got this phone 2 days ago and returned it today, its absolute nonsense, it should be against the law for putting a tiny 2 inch screen on a 5mp cybershot camera oriented phone in 2008, the screen is ridiculous, and even the menus, they must be kidding, im not a 5 year old kid so i dont enjoy cartoonish square menus and icons with very bad graphics like the phones in 2002, its not my cup of tea. Im not naming names or company, but one of them has to get their act together very fast.
Even their rivals from Finland need to find some new designers with fresh ideas very fast, the N-series are all starting to look like they came out of the same photo copy machine.
2008 is just feeding us alot of nonsense, 100 different phones with basically minimal altered specs and same physical just for driving up sales.
ill stick to my W890 till 2009 when hopefully innovation and creativeness will take the next step, 2008 is a sad year for consumers, specially does who dont by hyped up phones because of smart marketing.

this is a wicked phone i absolutely love it. This though is the c905's older brother and you know what they say "the older they are the weaker they get"

Anonymous, 05 Jul 2008the c902 is far more superior than the k850i, for a start i... moreDear friend, that what you told me is all true, but it is nothing special in terms of upgrade. My K850i also have Google maps, it's a software, not the phone part. C902 does not have a GPS, and it would be an upgrade. Not the software that you can find easily on the internet and install it in few seconds on any K series phone, like Google maps are. Touch positions on the side of the phone is silly. And withou "image stabilizer" the photos are great on K850i, too. It's only an little improvement of allready great photo interface. But, few days ago, SE gave to me, and to all of us, an answer on my question. "C" series will be the "C"ybershot series in the future, so the "K" will be out of future nomenclature. That's why they are producing similar phones to "K" series, but with "C" name in the last few months. "C", for "Cybershot" ! Not "C" for upgrade ... Waiting for the mighty C905 !

very solid build - much better than my old
w910i. shame about the screen size and video
and texting does take some getting used to -
                              still it's no worse than a w880's keys !!!

Battery life so far is about on par with
other new Sony's I've had recently.
