The videos can be played in full screen or wife screen mode. You've to go to options while watching and select full screen.

i brought cedar 7 month b4, i hvg a pblm of viewing contact list. If i switchon mobile, cant see contact name list.bt only contact number.. It can retify when i copied sim contact 2 phone memory d vice versa. Ie, sim contact name cant visible wen i switch on.

Since, I love music but I have a separate Sony Walkman MP4..and camera is not my priority...motion games i am not interested, So Shall I finalize on CEDAR?
I hope finally u say yes, Since my Only and Only Priority is GAMES and GAMES!

I mean compare cedar to other phones and not just se counterparts.
Its an amazin camera and the speaker volume even without modding, matches most nokias.
And I think it got one of the best battery in a phone .

There are video codecs and audio codecs other than the file extension.
The video codec can be divx or xvid or avc even if the file extension is .mp4.
For mp4 videos to play in mobile phones, the video extension should be .mp4 and the video codec h.264 or mp4.
Then only it works.
Else cant be played.

I was also in dilemma of choosing between cedar or zylo
zylo is older model & that too with slider & fast port connector, so I avoided it. Cedar is quite cheaper @ 4250INR while Zylo @ 6400INR
Gaming experience will be same but zylo has an advantage of large 2.6 display with Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate [Scratch-resistant surface]
If u love music too then go for zylo as it has Walkman 4 & can play the best music format i.e FLAC.
Do not worry about slider as sony's make gr8 sturdy slider fone even though they were late to introduce it..
just have to take care of fast port connectors regular cleaning with WD40 solution will keep it fine...
I had K 750i & just replaced Fast port once in its 5.5 yrs life. My C510 still going strong for 2 yrs......

I'm not into games much but have tried Asphalt 3d ,all NFS games & they were working fine.
BTW way I had downloaded games onto pc & then transferred it to CEDAR. Still to check directly frm net on this fone..
Just look out for 240 x 320 Java games & they will work
you can go for it if you are not expecting more frm this low end device..
Camera is an average[thou not tested at all] Do Not expect like the gr8 legends K750i or W800i
Speaker volume quite low & that what is gr8 con for this beauty. Hope changing acoustic files may solve this issue OR easiest option of New firmware update frm SE
Else this fone is SUPER DUPER Hit.....
many dealer will say negative about this fone & will promote TOKIA OR SAMSUNG
pros....
1. 3G with video calling on main camera[no secondary camera]
2. gr8 display in this price range at par with my C510 infact I prefer this fone...
3. User interface is super smooth not like my lil bit sluggish C 510
4. Music Quality frm headsets is above average for this low end category phones. may not be loud for someone like me who were used to k750i/w800/w700..
for average user no need to change Headsets as they are of very good quality in ear types
many more................ still to explore

Can .3gp and .mp4 videos be played on fullscreen or widescreen in cedar..?? Also the youtube videos..??
I have seen a video review which says they can't be played on widescreen/fullscreen.
Plz reply if any one knows..

Cedar is d only ph tat plays qvga vids. Convert yur vids in mp4 format using ultra 3gp converter. Al prblms hav d sols. Selling is not such a gud idea.

I am planning to buy this phone. My main requirement would be the GAMES. Can we download more and more free GAMES on this phone? since in specifications they are saying only Games- Yes, but they havent specified about the downloadable games which they have mentioned in Zylo specs. Please ADVICE me whether Zylo or Cedar is better for More and More Games and ease of use?

although a great phone, with good features
impressive battery life - watching movies for 4 hours plus
user friendly interface
good copy and paste feature
connecting to the pc is easy
browsing is nice, bolt browser makes it great
The camera takes good pictures, and with a few software tweaks,2mp pictures zooms will be possible in the near future
Sound is low, but there are tweaks for that.
The biggest drawback about the phone is it is unable to play some mp4 files, even when they have been transfered using the media 2 go program, and as a result had to sell the handset.
such a shame, oh and one further thing, not a biggie, a slightly larger screen and the fixes above and sonyericsson is onto another winner
