Bought cedar last saturday.Its My 3rd phone, 2nd frm sony (prev w200) , 2nd phone in 6 months (nokia x2).. Reason for upgrade, terrible and snappy s40 interface and ovi player.
Here is my review
Good phone for multimedia and watching videos.
Got better video playback and recording clarity than x2.
Feeble speaker sound around 63db, but awesome audio clarity than x2 72db.
Connecting external speakers in both and cedar really wipes out x2 with megabass, really great stuff. Netfront browser faster than x2's stock browser.
really missng LED Flash ,great advantage in x2.
2mp camera stands out with great background light adjustment a feature lacking in x2.
Overall if you want to hear music through speaker buy some external speakers. If you hear through headset this is the best multimedia phone in 5000 range.

So you can buy C5 instead of Cedar.

Beside, you can download apps. from the market to improve x8's camera and sound performances.

Could you please elaborate that is the sound quality of Cedar is too low..........what about the clarity.....???

I have seen people comparing C5 and Cedar.....please wait and think twice...price of C5 is 7500 INR and that of Cedar is 5500 INR...so what's the point in comparing....!!!!!!!!!!

i got cedar 2 months back, dropped it n its camera wont work.. i want to upgrade. badly confused btw nokia c5, se elm and se x10 mini.... any suggestions???

A brilliant mobile phone according to its price and performance. If we see actually the cellphones of ericsson we appreciate its features and looks but we get amazed by its price but Cedar is the first cellphone to posses both good performance and price .Its really amazing and is best for the net users. I would like this mobile to get the highest votes am using this phone for last two months and having no problem myself. No problem for its sound quality by removing the cover it rocks.

Bought this model just one and a half month back, have been using the application - the Checkbook.
Of late this software runs only partially i.e. although it enters the daily income and expenses data quite adequately, it fails to load data for creating a report- either for expenses or income between any start day to end day of a month in any formed account.
Initially it worked well say for the last 12 days since I began using this application. But now this feature just doesn't work at all. On pressing for the create report, the wheel that appears just keeps spinning and after a while it just stops and thing does not load. What is the problem? I'm very disappointed about this application since I'm a conscientious user of the handset.

Hi,
I have a Sony Cedar, and I don't know how can I make it that sound more time the ringtone of SMS.
I put a MP3 as a SMS ringtone, but it only sound 5 secods aprox. :(
