i love sony feature phones, but am planning to get x10 mini for better photos.. i have a few questions on x10 mini in comparison with sony's cedar/hazel... am aware x10 mini is an android phone.. plz help me..
1. can the contacts and messages in x10 mini be backed up in memo card like in cedar?
2. does x10 mini have features like call recoding, music call, mega bass, media centre, sense me, video call (through main camera as it doesnt have front cam) etc???

I'm sorry cedar. When I first saw you on the internet I scoffed the design philosophy for being too fat and too ugly. But when I saw the actual unit on display I thought it wasn't bad at all added to that is the 3.5 mm headset and micro usb. I actually gonna buy one and it wont cause an arm and a leg too. Nicely done sony E.

I am using it since... moreYeah totally agree with you...and some people are trying to rule out the fact that it has a 3.5mm jack by saying "sound quality is poor no matter how good the earphone quality"... Just try a low end senhiezzer earphone with cedar... you'll be blown away! Forget about high end senhiezzers...

This mobile is the best in it's range.
I am using it since 1 month and am very happy with it.
speaker volume is low but its loud enuf to hear the ringtone when someone calls you.May be some ppl in this forum are deaf that's why they are not able to hear the ringtone or they are not having this mobile itself.
No other mobile has internal memory of 280 mb in this range.
Music quality is too good in earphone.
UI is fast and simple,many shortcuts are available. Screen is good enuf to watch videos.
Under good sunlight it takes better pictures than many other 3.2 mp cam mobiles.
Video recording is also better than any other mobile in this range.
No fastport problem.
Looks great thanks to human curvature design.
Keypad is awesome.
Battery back up is good enuf,everyday i make call for abt 15 min,abt 50 msges, take 5 pics, listen to music for abt 1 hr and watch videos for about 1 hr and still the battery lasts for 1.5 to 2 days.
plus you get 3.5 mm Jack wit good earphone included in the box and 2 gb memory card.
Wat else can 1 except by paying 5500 INR ?

People want a lot by spending less ... Cedar is worth its money . Has a few drawbacks (low speaker volume) when compared to other phones available in its price bracket. But this phone has a few good features that can beat others in its range . We cant really find a clear winner among phones with price range of 5k-6k. People give weightage to some features more. i wanted a cheap 3g phone with good ergonomics and i got it .. people who give weightage to louder speaker volume may opt for other phones. The ones who want a good looking phone, 3g modem functionality(7.2mbps), excellent numeric keypad for mass typing,smooth user interface can opt for Cedar.

In the online manual a removable usb plug is shown , while i got a charger having microusb at one end and a 3pin plug at another end .

rachit, 17 Nov 2010i have bought naite and now i want to buy one another mobil... moreThese r some things which r in cedar but not in naite - 16gb expandable memory ,280mb internal, music call , sense me ,3.5 mm jack ,micro usb(charging+connectivity) ,3g with 7.2 mbps speed ,better sound quality through headphones, faster new user interface, new walkman player, new & better netfront web browser ,keypad is much better than naite, call quality & loudness is better than naite ,signal reception is also better than naite.
These r some things which r in naite but not in cedar - front videocall camera ,photo dj ,music dj ,video dj ,code memo ,naite is much louder than cedar through loudspeaker ,slimmer than cedar.
Other things r pretty much same in both the phones.

this set is not meant for users who need louder noise no matter what quality like bass treble etc
this handset delivers crisp clear sufficient loudness for ,maximum listening experience whether its music, video or fm radio.
Regarding camera, image capture quality is nearly like a digital camera & light conditions will not affect capture quality like other brand phones.
keypad is so nice & comfortable to use.

comparing naite & cedar, cedar is an advanced version with nicer keypads faster browsing, 3.5mm audio jack, microusb etc
