hi i bought a G700 and its grey but it says it has a 3.2mp camera so it cant be the business edition but on this site it doesnt say if the G700 came in grey besides the business edition.

heartbreaker, 13 Feb 2009Can anyone advise me if this phone is worth buying for? I a... morewhat I can say that is negative about this phone i thaty it's getting slower by time, had a factory restore but still slow, I use it lots at work and the battery could have moore capasity,, the touch screen works just fine in my opinion..

yes this is probably the worst phone i've ever used. the touchscreen is not responsive and it's usually laggy. not much games to play on it though. thought it's supposed to be a gaming phone.

good thing i didnt buy this handset. seems to have so much complications. was choosing between this and the LG cookie, bought the latter. but i wish i couldve gotten the k770 instead, exceptional phone. was just blinded by the touchscreen craze. i bet that when the time comes that touchscreen phones are as common as handsets with keypads, people will come to their senses & choose the keypad-operated phones.

I use SE G700 for 6 months, and don't have such problems. It works perfectly for me. This DELICATE phone isn't for everyone.

i have started using this model for a month now. found some problems with this model
1. touch response is really bad
2. Panel quality is so bad
3. Battery life is so low when u use internet
4. Need to close the applications frequently to get the decent performance.
5. Keypad quality is really bad.
6. not supporting much video file formats even if u try to open it will struck.
7. camera image quality is so poor . there is no image stabilizer and most of the image shinks
8. radio quality is soo poor and need to set the channels frequently
9.not good for Gaming purpose
all together i wont recommend this model to anyone.

Hi people about chinese built i don't know, but my touch screen got defective under warranty sony erricsson service centre in mira road mumbai took more than 1month. no mercy people.

Files can be saved on phone memory or on memory stick. The of windows I was using for some reason only let me see files/directories which are saved on memory stick. In other versions of Windows, for eg Vista, I can see both.

Just baught this mobile and cant complain for now. Have one problem however - when I create folders, eg excel/word files on the G700, I cannot view them on my PC when I connect to it. Transfering word/excel files from my PC to mobile and viewing them on G700 is no problem however. Any ideas about what I could be doing wrong? Thanks

Ryland - yes, you can edit and read and create new Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF files.

Hi, please don't buy the chinese made G700.The product quality is very low. My phone's key pad stopped responding and after keeping it for 1 month SE service centre in Ernakulam ( ACCEL Frontline Limited) returned it without correcting the fault.Now I have to use the touchpad to enter phone nos.Shame on SE!

Hi
I am facing a problem in my cell phone Sony Ericsson G700. The problem is that it is showing wrong memory..the phone memory is getting used up day by day as i'm using my cell, whether i listen to songs or i click photographs or use any other application!! There are different areas where the memory is used up in the phone memory like:
Media files
Camera
Messaging
Contacts
Standby etc..
The camera memory is used up when i click photos and with it Stand by memory also fills but when i delete those photographs camera memory becomes zero but Standy still shows the same incremented value!!!
The problem in my cell is that this standby memory fills. I'm not able to figure out where is this memory utilised?? The memory fills up gradually and consequently the whole 160 mb (phone memory) gets exhausted within no time.
Kindly give a solution o this problem...
