I bought this phone in June and was very pleased. However a few days ago it suddenly began rebooting and then I lost audio playback and now it refuses to start.

Is there any difference in performance between g700 and g900? I think there shouldn't be coz both have same hardware configurations. But still any one who has experienced both?
Thanks

Zainalu, 26 Sep 2008Hi Tony thanks for replying. U compared it with omnia. I ha... more@DARKSTORM1: cos these are my current phones :) to be fair, the omnia does not feel like 3x faster than G700 though. also, strangely, it is slowly to load sms than g700...and the latest firmware just slowed it down more! :)
@Zainalu, re the speed i would give G700 a 6 (acceptable), Omnia a 8 for most programs except sms where omnia is not fast. But, like i said, if you have the program running in the background already, there really isnt any difference already, except for the initial loading. (unless you have numerous programs running in the background).
as for transfer, omnia is definitely much faster than any nokia's i have ever tried. i have not done any on the G700 though. i prefer to transfer from my pc to the card directly as it is much faster than using a usb cable.

Plzz anyone compare it to W950. Is G700 that slow that it could be a dealbreaker. Is it faster than Nokia 3230. How is the response of the touchscreen?
Thanks

When I send file via Bluetooth without any programs it goes to SMS Inbox. But I use Bluesoleil program and I can send file anywhere
I wanna with Bluetooth, just copy-paste or take-drop in desire folder. You can use and freeware program such as MyPhone Explorer (it works better with USB cable).

Hi Tony thanks for replying. U compared it with omnia. I have no idea abt omnia. On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being the poorest and 10 being the best) how much will u give to these two mobiles (g700 and omnia) for speed?
Plzz reply this question plus the transfered files storage area from both usb and bluetooth. Thnaks in advance. I would be very grateful to u and to others if they answer my question.

Zainalu, 26 Sep 2008Hi...I would like to know how is processing speed of this p... morere the speed of G700, it is in no way as fast as Samsung Omnia, but it is acceptable. I have tried 3 sets so far (mine plus my friends). It seems the earliest set was the slow one, so i suppose if you were to buy a newer set of G700 or update the firmware from the Sony Ericsson website, the speed will be fine.
Also, if you already have a program running in the background, the speed of accessing the program is fast.

Hi...I would like to know how is processing speed of this phone g700...some are saying its good n some are saying its damn slow. Someone tell me the truth please. Also If I send some items (multimedia or others) via the USB cable where do these files get stored - in the messages or in file manager like in non os sony ericsson phones. Also is there any option or way to make a fast if its slow and how to make the files go straightly to file manager using usb or bluetooth. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks n regards to all
