I was recommended by the sony ericsson singapore sales staff to use a 4gb M2 card instead of the full 8Gb; as it would run slow. Is this true? Anyways, there doesn't seem to be any 8Gb M2 cards for mobile phones in the market here in singapore at the moment.

Anonymous, 20 Jun 2008yes, I think you've raised some fair points too, but you mu... moreHey, if someone starts out that I am Nokia fan or Stu..dpid, SE basher etc. I have react a little but only a little.

There several cases when someone left a post saying that he liked the phone etc. - I just said good look nothing. We all all different and enjoy your phone (and I meant it).

There are trollers here or even SE staff or hired SE ... absolutely fanatics.
There is no way with them to reason.

You started out calling me a basher and now you changed your tone - how long? :)

BTW, I never recommended Nokia or any other phone here. That is also hard to comprehend for these fanatics.

As soon as Se comes out with a decent phone I will tilt my hat to it!

                    We need good phones!

Unfortunately, recently SE brings out lousy phones for very high price.

                    W890 (initially sold for 500USD!!!)
                    - no autofocus
                    - no flash!!!!
                    - small screen
                    - weak speakers
                    - lousy camera
                    - poor playback quality
                    - high SAR value

                    C902 (600USD!!!!)
                    - small screen
                    - 5mp camera which acts like a 3mp
                    - poor image quality especially indoor
                    - non-ergonomic buttons
                    - high SAR value (RF)

G900 (550USD initially, now much less)
                    - poor image quality especially indoor
                    - slow processor!!!!! (outdated, old)
                    - cheap look (some complained)
                    - high SAR value

Of course, we can argue but thesenegatives are oticed by many users as well.

Only thing anybody need to do is to go and check the unit out before purchase - and buy the one it was checked. It is very likely that SE has some quality insurance problem.
And we argue here about the same models but differently built phones.
I have checked more than one phones from each model - but obviously not all :)))

So, some good units can be out there. ;)

I have no big argument with that.

I had high hopes for G900. For me the negatives too much but for some may be not a concern.

I think you review helps, hopefully people realize that individual preference need to be checked before purchase.

tasha, 20 Jun 2008to G900 users, pls. tell us more its strength and ... moreWhy don´t you go and check it out for yourself! instead of asking strangers!

I suggest to look for these:

Do not trust reviews, forums etc. It can give you some idea what to check but the decision is yours only!

                          For the G900 check:
                          - slowness
                          - camera
                          - flash (in door pictures bad!)
                          - triband
                          - screen
                          - buttons / ergonomics
                          - look (some feel it looks cheap)

                          - price!!!!!

If you still like it - BUY IT!
                          :)

There is no way I would recommended - especially if you want to keep it for long time.

Many much better phones coming out in the next few weekend months!!!!

I do not recommend Samsung and not the i900 since it is not out yet but on paper looks good and 1-2 more weeks it will be out.

                          Another concern can be:
SAR - since you want to have it for lifetime :)) short or long?

                          G900´s RF is pretty high!!!!!!

I'll try (without actually owning the phone..but I intend to so I know a great deal about it)

                            Pros:

-Small (about the size of a Motorola SLVR adding 1mm here and there)
-Wi-Fi (connect to hotspots and surf away! or just check your emails...your choice :P)
-Touchscreen (not as needed with this type of phone but it helps make browsing way faster, and using the camera, besides being great to play with)
-Notes application (great for those to-do lists)

                            Cons:

-Processor is slower than most smart-phones (this one's entitled to your opinion, disregard certain posts here(...)...smaller processor doesn't necessarily mean slower phone, but you'll have to try it in person to judge)
-Camera (it may say 5mp…it isn’t…basically if you want quality shots…take your digital, or resize the g900s 5mp shots into 3mp ones and they look good)
-Card Slot (its under the battery cover so not that easy to share files)

                            Hope it helps

In fact the rates established world wide nowadays are very low and ineffective: the real radiation from the cell phones that affects the DNA and cellular communication goes on extremely high and weak frequencies that are almost undetectable for the conventional radiation detectors.

Now in the market there are a couple of devices that protect the organism from the radiations, I personally use Neutraliser Gamma7.N-RT

It's small and you just stick it to the mobile, no need for external energy input. This technology was developed to protect the astronauts from the space radiation!
