Go take physics 101 again if you are older than 10.

2W/kg is not the standard !!!!!!

It is the limit!!!!

I guess it is a difficult thing for you understand the difference!

BTW, in the US the LIMIT is 1.6 W/kg!!!!!

    Nokia N95 (Type RM-159)
    CERTIFICATION INFORMATION (SAR)

THIS MOBILE DEVICE MEETS GUIDELINES FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.

Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver. It is designed not to exceed the limits for exposure to radio waves recommended by international guidelines. These guidelines were developed by the independent scientific organization ICNIRP and include safety margins designed to assure the protection of all persons, regardless of age and health.

The exposure guidelines for mobile devices employ a unit of measurement known as the Specific Absorption Rate or SAR. The SAR limit stated in the ICNIRP guidelines is 2.0 watts/kilogram (W/kg) averaged over ten grams of tissue. Tests for SAR are conducted using standard operating positions with the device transmitting at its highest certified power level in all tested frequency bands. The actual SAR level of an operating device can be below the maximum value because the device is designed to use only the power required to reach the network. That amount changes depending on a number of factors such as how close you are to a network base station. The highest SAR value under the ICNIRP guidelines for use of the device at the ear is 0.58 W/kg.

Use of device accessories and enhancements may result in different SAR values. SAR values may vary depending on national reporting and testing requirements and the network band. Additional SAR information may be provided under product information at www.nokia.com.

mstL even wrote that N95 SAR is 0.6 which is a total lie!

0.6 or 0.62 is the SAR value under ICNIRP guideline for use of device at the ear

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2008Those max. sar levels don't mean much. A phone with low sar... moreI did not worry so far.

Somebody else brought the issue up.

But, I have heard it is a real danger.

Those max. sar levels don't mean much. A phone with low sar level can produce more radioactive contamination (Rms) because it's always look'n for a network.....and if you're worried about that stuff, don't drink out of Tetra-Packs and don't cook meat!!!

any takers on whether Nokia, Samsung or LG employ this guy to bash SE? :P

Very weak argument dude, not convincing at all, not least due to the multiple consecutive posts...

SE is the only manufacturer to produce a reasonably compact phone that has the functionality of otherwise much larger phones. I like that

                  To ALL!

SE and all companies thrive on their image and they willing to spend big money on it.

Millions and millions of USD. Don´t you think that they can buy a few review? :)

Or they can monitor and manipulate forums etc.

                    suggest to all:

Go and check out the phone and buy the very same unit once you feel that unit is good enough for you.

Do not trust reviews, forums etc. It can give you some idea what to check but the decision is yours only!

                    For the G900 check:
                    - slowness
                    - camera
                    - flash (in door pictures bad!)
                    - triband
                    - screen
                    - buttons / ergonomics
                    - look (some feel it looks cheap)

                    - price!!!!!

If you still like it - BUY IT!
                    :)

mstl..this one is especially for you...

'G900 is not an ultimate cameraphone, rather taking the role of a very versatile smartphone with all-embracing functionality and a touchscreen for a chief selling point. If you try to look at it from this position, you get a very balanced solution sold at a very reasonable price. The quality of touchscreen implementation in G900 (as well as G700) is worthy of admiration – the very case where the conventional controls are complemented by the touch functions, yet not duplicated or entirely replaced. Previous UIQ models were known to alienate parts of the audience due to a total lack of conventional navigation buttons, single-handed operation combined with all-touch interface resulted in very low ergonomics and in fact quite unsatisfactory. This problem is now gone with G700 and G900 models'.

Anonymous, 18 Jun 2008if you think so. Meanwhilst I think this phone is brilli... moreMay be, I do not care about the N96.

BTW, you will never get a professional level camera wit ha phone :)))
You need to get a Nikon or Canon for that :))

My guess is that Se will screw-up the C905 some way. The last 3 phones has all kind of problems. THe X1 will be manufactures by HTC - so all the signs about another failure.

                            But, lets wait and see.

I do not care about any 20mm thick (˝brick˝:) phone even if it
has a 20mp camera on it!

Meanwhilst I think this phone is brilliant. C905 looks pretty cool too. but I'm not looking for a professional camera phone soo its out of the question, however, if i WAS, that would definately beat the N96...no doubt!

SE fanatics and PR staff in the last few months keep calling NOKIA phones ˝brick˝ :)

Now, they are in trouble with the C905with its 18-20mm thickness - ;)

There is no need for me to go to that forum - SE made an ... and it is very obvious.

BTW, who needs an 8mp camera phone from a company who can not make a decent 3mp or 5mp camera for the phones.

                                W890 (SE asked for 500USD):
                                - no autofocus
                                - no flash
                                - lousy pictures

                                G900 /C902
                                - weak flash
                                - poor quality pictures

The 8mp does not make sense for most people anyway. A really good 5mp enough if you do not make hard copy larger than 8.4˝x11˝or A4.

Even a 3mp can be very very decent.

Another fact, SE releases the phones very slow (6-9 months). By the time the it will come out it will be totally outdated.

See Samsung i900 (now) - look at the specs and imagine what they will do in 6 months!
But ,other companies in the same schedule - SE is falling behind!

I have bought it last Friday.I have been waiting for it, since it's announcement! It was very beautiful, with awesome characteristic but when I came to the SAR leaflet I was really dissapointed!!! 1.47 is very high! It is a microwave oven not a phone. So with a broken heart, I took it back and bought a P1i instead (xperia and c905 are still a long way to come)!!
