Hii guys!!
Pls help me, I own a W960 but now that G900 is out I m thinking of replacing my w960. Is it worth it??
Advantage of w960 : 8gb, bigger screen & louder speaker
Disadvantage of w960 : absence of d-pad, 3.2mp cam, lesser battery life
Advantage of g900 : 5mp cam, new menu options which can b easily operated with finger touch, d-pad, better battery
Disadvantage of g900 : extra expense for the memory card.
Now ppl pls suggest me is it worth to sell off my w960 & go for the new g900

some quotes for the G900 from major mobile review sites.. smape.com & mobile-review.com...
'The G900 is a phone to look for, since it’s one of the finest offerings in terms of the price/quality ratio'.
'G900 seems to be a better option as long as the camera functionality / overall functionality ratio is concerned'
the last quote was taken from smape comparing the G900 and one of Nokias best phones on the market right now..

true, it looks kinda cheap, with plastic used on w910.. and it's rather expensive, too! bahh.. but the UI is brilliant, and it's camera , needless to say- it works just like a digital camera. no xenon flash though, im rather used to having it on my k800i, until i lost it a week ago! now, im waiting for the price drop of this phone when iPhone's being released in Singapore..

Anonymous, 09 Jun 2008Today I looked at the Sony G900. I did not even try to turn... moreYes, the phone market is getting crowed and hopefully finally some good phones getting on the market.
But, the i900 only announced - we do not know much about it yet - on paper it is fantastic.
The good thing that it will be available in few days - unlike SE phones which takes months and months.

The phone looked so cheap looking and cheap made. It is also so over priced. Good Lock Sony. I bought instead HTC Diamond. Great phone and now I see gsmarea announced Samsung i900. Nice looking phone.

Had a play around with this phone and it does seem like quite a lot of fun. Have a samsung g600 which is a good phone but I need a phone with wi-fi.
The interface, overall speed was pretty good. The build quality seemed better than the g600 and cause its a sony ericsson it should mean it can survive a few falls unlike my g600. Deffo gna get this phone as my upgrade.

BTW - ˝.. seems to be better .....˝does not sound like a very strong view.
But this is a strong view (by another ˝expert˝? ;)
˝Let’s begin with the bad news. G900 has the same 208 MHz CPU that P1i had and this hasn’t been anything new even in the phone from a year ago. The RAM is 128 MB large, the exact size previous UIQ models had, so the question is righteous: where is the progress? Nokia is already at 369 MHz, Windows-based stuffs usually have 400 MHz, but there already are handsets with 524 MHz, or even 600 MHz processors.˝

There is no point to keep quoting review.
SE has a BILLION USD for PR. I guess they can afford a few good reviews :)))
The G900 in the store NOW!!!!
GO and check it out for yourself - if you like it buy it!!
I have used the unit for a few hours and I think it is SLOW, SLOW, SLOW.
Especially annoying when you got familiar with the unit.

Since someone asked about stylish 5mp phone -
Samsung i900 Omnia seems like one, may be? ;)
I do not recommend it - I have no idea how well it will perform. And as we know, on paper even a (recent) SE phone can look good!
SE, why don´t you get a new engineering team! Or get back the old!
