Serene, 27 Dec 2008I hate this phone. Period. This is one of the worst I ha... moreI totally agree with you. I am so frustrated with SE after experiencing the worse of G900. I have sent it for repairs 5 times in a span 02 months and the problem has yet to be solved. They are unable to tell me what is wrong, except making a guess each time I send in the phone. The screen freezes. The second time they tell me it has got to do with the memory stick. Now I am not sure what the excuse is this time round.

        I have installed GDesk on my phone! It's awsome!!! If you can't make your own designs you can download them ready made. Google for it and you will not be disapointed!!! Never thought i can do such things with my phone, thanks to the touch screen!!!

            I bought this phone two days back in Riyadh. I tried to turn on Camera, it didn't. I went back to the shopkeeper, he tried different things but in vain. He replaced it with a new phone, and it had the same problem. He gave me another (3rd) new handset and surprisingly it had the same problem. We could not turn on the camera. Finally he had to return my money back.

            Reason why i am sharing this information is to check if any one else has faced this problem. Or there is any specific setting that has to be made during initial setup. As all three new phones cannot have same problem.

            I am now reveiwing my decision of buying G900.

              Cos unlike W810i that i use this also must be having restriction on the number of SMS.

                Serene, 27 Dec 2008Nope. This doesn't work. Tried that many times. Failed"Touch and Go" Im really in touch with this phone. 5 MP, touchscreen, Wi-Fi, very good battery life, not very cheap nor expensive price, perfect! But i wonder does this phone support symbian apps? e.g. Windows Live Messenger, Turbo MSN. If it can, surely i will buy this phone next year. I didn't know anything much about SE, because i'm using Nokia all my life and i want to try something new which was this phone SE G900. All i know is most of SE phones only can support Java apps only. That's one of the reason why im not buying SE phone. But really, i really likes the design. So, my questions, DOES THIS PHONE SUPPORT SIS/SYMBIAN APPS? E.G. WLM AND TURBO MSN? Thank you very much for your kind help. Cheers!

                    I hate this phone. Period.

                    This is one of the worst I have ever used, and the sad part is I am an SE fan.

                    One major flaw is its touch screen. Which has died on me TWICE.

                    Once this happens, you CANNOT answer calls, you cannot delete messages, you cannot do so many many things.

                    I have had so many SE phones and this is by far the worst.

                      I actually like this phone. I hope they will have an upgrade or a new model for this kind; like it can be HSDPA already and has a GPS and maybe office application also. I know it can be X1 already but the X1 doesn't have like G900 camera features.

                        I had this phone But I sell. The idea of the Touch screen and have the key Board at this size of phone is great. My problem was screen did not look nice and clear for Color Screen. I did not understand the problem. But the phone itself beside the problem with screen is great. I wish sony would come with new version of this phone.

                          guys shud i remove my m2 memory card before doing the software update? cuz it says all my stuff in the phone will get formatted...dont hav a clue about it so plz help tnx

But if you want sth for better multimedia, g900 is better. p1 has a better keypad, and most of the games are compatible with p1's keypad only, (e.g. Brothers in arms) and p1 has better battery life. but g900 has a better camera (not as good as e.g. viewty's camera, but at leat it is 5mp)nicer UI, it is more user friendly, better media, and the g900 is a bit faster. any way, it is your choice of course.

                              Hey wud b really helpful if GSM arena cud post a review on dis phone...coz i tink dat many ppl r confused on whthr 2 buy dis phone or not...overall i tink its a very gud phone but in order to confirm it a review wud be helpful!!

                                    this symbian UIQ, what's it different from the others? can u use applications made for the other symbian OS-s? or u can only use specific software? I think it's a great phone.

                                      Trust me....example:Samsung has GPS,TV OUT, 3.5 mm Jacks ;)..3g Speed is 3.6 M/sec...etc

                                        Hi, I'm planning to buy a new phone. I'm confuse which phone is better. SE G900 or Samsung G810. Both phone have some same features such as 5MP camera n WiFi. Difference : SE touchscreen, Sam Slide. SE 2.4", Sam 2.6". SE Sym UIQ, Sam Symbian OS v9.2, Series 60 rel. 3.0. Advice plz??? Thx in advance.
