I think it's a very good phone. It has many functions which until now could only be found in a business phone, much more expensive. What i don't like is the fact that the camera is not protected. I was a Nokia fan until recently, but the K 300i impressed me. I hope it will continue to impress me.

Yeah,you're right that SE got problems with joysticks and maybe with cams(with what I don't fully agree),but except of that the phone is great.I'm impressed

i have this phone for almost a week, and i think it's a very good phone for the price. The camera is not perfect but it's ok. I'm very happy with this phone.

The problem is, it's speaker. there are 3 cases in my friends that they had K300i and then it's speaker got silent. The joystick is a universal problem of SE.

just like peter chua, im impressed to my phone k300i.
im here in philippines and all i want to say is that SE is now very popular in this country but still nokia is most in it's no. of users.
before i want to buy a 3220 because k300i is too expensive for my budget but good thing my parents helped me and give me more money just to buy that phone and no disappointed even though 3220 has a TFT LCD, k300i has everything i needed except radio and the major drawback is the LCD: STN but enough to view pictures clearly. aside from that, 3220 has only 2.5MB memory while k300i has 12Mb which is enough for me. my video recorder exceeds up to 30 minutes in 12Mb memory in 128x96 pixel size and 10-12minutes in 176x144 pixels. i can hold Mp3s for much if i compress that using musicmatch. even though it is low quality, still the music is still very good in the speaker and headset but a bit lower in it's volume due to the compression, i compress it up to 500-600kb and my phone can contain 20-24 mp3s. nice right?
my k300 exceeds everything i needed and it's camera is better than 6600, 6230 and 6020 nokias i've tested that before.
As i know SE produced k310 which is also cheap! yepee! nice SE! Nice!

I got this phone from GLOBE TELECOM for free at G-Text monthly plan of Php 500.00 Like around $9.00+
Nice phone and cheap. No problem on the voice coz it's crystal clear. Camera can be set to 1 megapixel, but takes around 9 seconds to capture a shot. The Video is good. Overall, this phone is a bargain.

I've tried your steps to enter the service menu on a K700i just by curiosity and I haven't change anything, but now it shows on screensaver a blue line in the top and bottom part of the display.
Can you help me pls solve this problem, cause it's not my phone :(

Hi guys. I have a question.
Is there such thing as a .jar program for the K300i that can do a fake IR transfer of java games? I'm sure some of you know this problem. In order to use jars I have to boucne them between my friend's cell. This is annoying. anyone with a fake IR transfer jar? etc. Help much appreciated

The K300's performance is quite good for it's size. for coverage in the country it's surprizingly good compaired to other phones i had.

wondaboi, thnx 4 your comments (2006-01-13 17:40 iGL9) about the DCU-11 Cable and Float's Mobile Agent 2. Couldn’t e-mail you cos there was no address! This cable I bought is a killer to install so’s I get a connection to my Sony Ericsson K300i. At 1st the phone & cable were detected by Windows XP & appeared in Device Manager as a Modem and I thought everything was going 2 B fine until I installed the software from CD and then everything just got wiped out and in ‘My Phones’ it comes up as ‘Not Detected’ . Any help would B v.much appreciated. Clifton

you infrared(irda) can send and recieve any files at any format so you can use it at a file holder 12mb is enough for carrying office files or 3-4 mp3s.
you dont need cables no more because you have ir all you have to do is to buy an infrared adapter(if you own a desktop PC) and download Sony ericsson pc suite for k-series phones

is there a site which provides u free downloads for ringtones or games? im confused about how to use the infrared in the phone. can i just transfer internet stuffs to my phone through the infrared?
do i need cables for that?

The only problem with my k300 is that the sound Quality is poor for mp3, the speaker is like cracking when you playback a mp3. is this a common problem with se phones?

hey im gettin confused of which phone 2 buy-j300 or k300. im least bothered abt the camera. all i want is a gud mp3 player which is available in both. do suggest me as im in real need of buying a gud phone. i'll b grateful if u help.

yes "texas" i gess ur rite....its well, ok but because i have seen way betta camera phones for the same price. i used to have the panasonic x700 which only cost me 160 australian dollars. it has a perfect camera that takes great pictures every time....i absoloutly loved it untill it fell out of my pocket while i was riding a motor bike and i never got it back =(

It is a very good set.probaly the best set of the year 2004,2005 mid.there are only two problems with this set 1:its LCD is small not very small but small 2:its camera resolution is good not excellent but good but anyhow its a good,handy and a stylish looking phone

nozza u r wrong for its class this phone has 1 of d best cameras d only thing it lacks is exposure compensation but i have tested it against other vga camera phones in good lighting and this phones camera stands side by side and was sometimes even better than the other phones with vga res like N6230, Moto v300/razr,N6120

this fones cam is horrible!! if u like it then fine, but if your lookin 4 a good quaility cam, this is not the fone 4 u
