Excellent mobile phone! Beat's the Nokia 6300 by miles in every area except the display, Nokia has 2 million vs 256K colors of Sony Ericsson K550i.
Other +ve features :
1) The best 2MP camera with Autofocus currently available in the markret.
2) Good music player,descent sound, FM radio with RDS
3) Lightning fast response time
4) The best battery in its categoery - 24hrs of non stop music at full volume in a full battery charge phew!!
5) The OS(software) is built on Java platform, so limitless compatibility.
Deep technical details :
1) SE K550i has TFD screen instead of TFT. TFD consumes less power than TFT.
2)It uses Sony patented M2 memory card rather than miniSD cards. Both are of nearly same size but M2 cards have higher data transfer speed so the phone has faster response to user input.
3) It uses Lithium Polymer ion battery rather than Lithium ion, Li-Poly is a superior technology(better safety) and will ultimately replace Lithium ion.
Verdict: Steal this mobile(SE K550i) if you can(pun intended), but look also for Samsung J210 it has all the features of this phone but pricewise comes 20% cheaper.

I think u shud go 4 6120.its a highend device n obviously got more features dan d other 2.between 6300 n k550,k550 is ofcource a beta choice,got beta cam,sound quality,battery(gdys-heavy usage),multitasking(runs up2 7apps at d same time n can make calls or sms if u want 2 while run apps at d background.in 6300/6233 etc. u cant even minimize ur apps.)

k550 incapability of 3G benefits???????
but to use 3g ,3g network should available.....???
In my country 3g not available then what is use of 3g phone??????????????/
only to show people that I have 3g phone?????
when it will be available I will never think about k530, it has no auto focus,can not install walkman player , so for me k550 is winner..........

My m2 without problem. Cause my m2 is original part from SE.
I have 1G m2 for myk550. Work fine always.

What kind of problem are you having with your memory card? I'm having problems with my memory card since the day i bought it :@ Sucks man! Tomorrow i'm gonna go back to my retailer and throw that m2 on his face :X lol

this forum is about to tell good aqnd bad points of k550i not about any other phone.so if don`t like any features of k550i post it but no need to advertise any other phone.it is for k550 fans also don`t post comments on k550i in any other phones forum.we like our phone and we love it thats all.

k550 incapability of 3G benefits us to have broader selection of new handsets, either to pair with k550 or to replace it its your choice.
but for those in need to know about the next generation technology. it even have some comparison of network services including EDGE in rational thinking. i suggest read this first. i borrowed it from 3G iPhone reviews.

Yep i understand that.
i agree that k550 is not to be compared with k530.
both are in different market, different direction.
k550 is cybershot which is sony official brand that it can only be compared to cybershot class. I can only think people who compare k550 with no cybershot class is people who hate S E personally.
i personally don't hate k530. i don't own it, but i don't want to have bad impression of it cuz of its users. since they compare it in irrational ways, which is closer to animal thinking than human.
im sick also, but like the old post back then by .... (i forgot), it even made us spamming our own k550 forum.
so i think what the other wants is simply to make us pissed off. so if we don't pissed off, they will eventually stop.

Sony may discont. K550 but it still no replacement in midclass range.
The phones that replace k550 are from hi end only: K850, C902, C702.
Guess I find it hard to replace my k550.
It easier to look for its pair, but not replacement.

No problem with my k550.
No more k530 (with a stupid fans).
K550 is the best for me.
Absolutly the rising star from 2G generation.
May be someday, i can replace this phone with C702 (super phone from 3,5G generation).
I'm falling in love with K550 and C702.
K550 and C702 is in CYBER-SHOT rules.

Rore , ur camera not working ,doest mean k550 is failure ,u urself might done something wrong or diamage , This is my 6th phone,after ,x600 ,k750, 6233 ,e50, 5500
. I can say this is best in all.
