u must know digital zoom is useless only optical zoom is real zoom ,only n93, g800 have optical zoom all other r digital, if saying 8x digital zoom etc, it is real cheating and making u fool.....

@seenu. use proper camera mode according to condition ,otherwise it will be yelloish, blueish , u r expecting very much from camera, this is the best camera in 2 mp phone

The expected price of SE K550i in India is between Rs. 7500/- to Rs. 7650/-
Buy it, best phone in its class.

Sonyericsson K550i
One of the worst fone that i ever found from the reputed brand "sonyericsson".
Don't bye it,You will be cheated if so
The brand says it is cybershot,but actually it is _________
At night the K550i 2MP camera sucks !!!!!!!!!!!!!
At morning ,,the same procedure
Picture quality is too 222 bad!
Yellowishh,redishhhh,greenishhh,,
no Zooming huhhhhh !!!!!!!!!!!

Hi i can't decide weather to buy this lovely cell or the samsung e590 wich i also like. Can anyone help me in terms of battery life, sound trough the headset, nav. key and video quality? is the e590 better?

I had 6300 4 2mnths.its got d worst battery.it lasts only 4a day.in k550, i can easily get 4dys out of it.

K550i can b use up to 3-4 days per charging under normal use.
I just warn u not to believe official specification which state these:
S500 is 370h standby and 9h talktime. K550i is 350h and 7h talktime. 6300 is 336h and 3.5h talktime. 6120 is 250h and 3h talktime.
But in fact nobody can reach that time except the RnD Dept of each company.

i have just had another thought, my service provider also has the sony ericsson s500.i quite like that but wonder if its a little girly for me.i like the 6120 but its a smart phone and the layout is completly different and doesnt look very user friendly.
out of the 6120,6300,k550 and s500,which has better battery life coz thats the main thing im looking for.

m2 card has FAT file system not FAT32
so format with only FAT system ,not FAT32

Is there anyway by which I can save my video automatically in the videos section? Because whenever i make a video it gets stored in the Camera Album section.

Truely excellent mobile phone! I have one since Jan'08 and man it beat's the Nokia 6300 by miles in every area except the display, Nokia has 2 million vs 256K colors of Sony Ericsson K550i.
Other +ve features :
1) The best 2MP camera with Autofocus currently available in the markret.
2) Good music player,descent sound, FM radio with RDS.
3) Lightning fast response time.
4) The best battery in its categoery(Li-Poly,950mAh) - 24hrs of non stop music at full volume in a full battery charge phew!!
5) The OS(software) is built on Java platform, so limitless compatibility.
6) Small, thin and light, i sometimes forget its in my pocket.
Deep technical details :
1) SE K550i has (Thin Flim Diode)TFD screen instead of TFT. TFD consumes less power than TFT so better battery life.
2) It uses Sony's patented M2 memory card rather than miniSD cards. Both are of nearly same size but M2 cards have much higher data transfer speed so the phone has faster response to user input.
3) It uses Lithium Polymer ion battery rather than Lithium ion, Li-Poly is a superior technology(better safety, thinner) and will ultimately replace Lithium ion in near future.
Verdict: Steal this mobile(SE K550i) if you can(pun intended), but those looking for similar features at an even tighter budget look for Samsung J210 as it has all the features of this phone but pricewise comes 20% cheaper.
