100% agreed with the above comment and i second that the options have to be set correctly to get most out of the camera.

i hav relativley large/fat fingers, and i have no trouble at all using the keys with them
never hav i had to use nails
only drawback for me is you cant zoom in normal mode on the camera
apart from that, flawless

I love the k550i great mp3 if you use the Walkman headphones. I got some for $15 on ebay. Great camera better than Nokia 6300. All good my cousin in Australia, Melbourne would like to get one anyone know where to get one there?

To get best performance from camera u have to use correct setting,on auto mode u can not get best picture ,there r 7 modes,but many people do not know this and they say k550 camera is bad,but actually they know nothing.................

Hi!
I have a question about my K550i.
A few white lines appeared near the top of the screen and just wouldn't disappear even if I switch off the phone and turned it on again.
Anyone with the same problem?
I really wish to make it go away...can someone help me with it? thanks!

to chloro...
the keys are not at all hard to press... very pleasant.. with the nails theyre easier to press if u have big fingertips... but still they are not at all hard

k.550 is a superb phone.but this is not good to call a cyber-shot baby.camera have a low quality.yellow colour is spreading over the pictures.is it curable?? and no zoom in normal camera mode.but super design,super sound,super perfomance except camera quality...

Ive used alot of phones and this phone is BY FAR my favourite phone ive EVER owned and it has definetly converted me to a Sony Ericcson fan. This phone does and has everything youll ever need. Its very comfortable, very stylish and turns alot of heads. I hacked mine to the w610 firmware which is a great idea if youre looking to use the music player or have awesome flash menus. all can be done for free or at wotanserver.com
The Mp3 player is nice and outputs amazing sound on my $100 sony headphones, on top of that, if you end up flashing it or de-branding it you can download a wide variety of games and themes all for free and all of them work brilliantly!
The only problem i found with it is the way I hold my phone i press the camera capture button which oddly disables the 4 and 6 keys, so to text message i need to reposition my hand to stay away from that button, but no big deal at all
As far as the camera goes ive seen alot better quality on alot of phones offering a 2.0mp, for some reason the pictures turn out grainy and not as clear as you'd expect them to be. Perhaps theres some drives out there that solve this issue. But keep in mind, its a PHONE not a digital camera!
As for the features and functionality its very very nice. The menu is fast (unlike the old nokia LAGGY menus) this is a big plus for me since I hate any kind of delay when trying to access something on my phone! Everything is laid out in a very organized fashion, once you experience Sony's OS you'll know what im talking about. its FLAWLESS!
I HIGHLY reccommend this phone, i will probably ALWAYS be a Sony Ericsson owner, im that impressed. NOKIA you have alot of work to do, Symbian is played out and very very over rated, do some changes and have a look at what Sony is doing because theyre doing it right!

if the antenna is located at the bottom and its reception is bad... i rather buy the w200i, and im so discourage with the antenna of this phone...

what?? the internal antenna located at the below/ lower part of the phone?? is it true?? not above the camera lens area?? what a pity if it's true..

Anybody facing an overheating problem with K550s? My battery really heats when I talk on the phone for a long time. To the point that it gives me headaches.

SE k550 is a very good phone .. but in my country accesories and extra memories are tough to find. since i pluged a 2gb card(max in romania) the battery started to discharge a bit faster. however it`s nice to use and works fast
