Can any of you please tell whether its true that the cell gets heated up in the above half after talking for more than 10 mins.
I have got many such responses from various places and in a ziffy whether to go for it or not.
Request all those who are using to give more info on the subject. Already posted a comment for the same on 2007-09-19 10:12.

guys..please dont mislead people....i agree that some people might face some problems but you should not jump and make generalizations.thats my humble request.i talk for 30-40 minutes without any heat up.camera gives excellent results on PC in day light conditions.Sound quality can be improved by using original walkman series headset.FM is stunningly clear. Screen is also not as bad as you guys are describing.(though its my personal opinion).I feel at 8.3k you cant get abetter phone (slim rich look, cybershot brand, EDGE etc.)

Why saying such lies ???? I agreee that k550i camera is bad during low light conditions ....
But in daylight the photo clarity is stunning !!!

The display is the major screwup in k550i and w610i, its hs TFD not TFT. the icon edges look really awaful!.. tft is much crisper than TFD.

i have never used this kind of low quality cell phone.its camera is very bad.it is known to all that the camera of sony ericsson mobile set are generally good.if any1 use this set then i am sure that his impression will be hurt in a great sense and all his money will be wasted.iam very disappointed after using this set.its sound quality is also very bad.i will suggest not to buy this set.

I have got to know about a drawback of this phone i.e. the hearing portion (top part of the phone) gets heated up while talking for more than 15 mins.
I first heard it on a mobile shop but ddnt give much weightage thinking of dealer inerest.
Then got to know same from the service center of SE and now one of my friend who has been using it for more than 2 months also said the same thing.
Can anyone throw some light on the same and tell the reality ?

hey dear I suggest that you buy K550i ..it's better anyway and its new and has more applications than K700

Heloo guys...finally i bought SE k550i and this cell is gud i can giv 7.5 out of 10 ..picture quality is poor in dark, no zoom in normal mode, sound is ok....but if talk for the look i wl giv 9/10.
rohit / any1 can plz e-mail me a gud game and process to downlaod game in this handset.

this fone really rocks!!b4 i had w810,n70 and n73!i found out that k550 is the best!it is slim and more features!the camera works so beautiful and very clear!when it comes to music this fone is soooo good!much better if u have a headset like in walkman fone series ayt!

those of u having button problem i.e a,0,1 and left key i have the answer this is cuz when u hold the phone your camera button gets pressed by your palm and thus causes overload and keys dont work try not pressing the button
and for the camera and sound critics i have flashed my phone with latest camera drivers and w880 acoustic drivers its rockin now

The k550 doesn't offer video streaming... It is possible to straem videos by flashing the phone or updating the media player?

Yes, it supports 2GB cards. I use a 2GB card myself actually.
