Hey guys!!! Here are my comments 4 my prestigious K550i:
First of all i wanna tell u , that recently i have used K750i,then i used W810i,then due to some reaseon i went 4 W700i.....now m using K550i.........
(1) some people are sayin that its not betta than k750i and so on....... the design of this set is very impressive if compared to k750i or w700i or even w810i...... its very much slim than above mentioned sets......if i talk about its backside looks then believe me its very very impressive!!! if i talk about its front looks then still its impressive then all those above mentioned sets!!!! i dont know why gsmarena is givin it 7 out of 10 for design!!!! i give it 8.2 ......
2) now for camera:
its a 2 mega pixel camera fone........ speakin about 2 megapixel camera fones let me tell u guys that i have used following 2 megapix fones....
Nokia 6270,N-72 , Sony ericsson w700,w810,and k750i......afta all its a cybershot..i mean guys dont compare it with k750i,w700i ,6270 or n-72 as it will beat the hell out of those......Hmmmm!!! but if u compare it with w810i then pic quality is betta than w810i but the drawback is this that u cant zoom in 2megapix mode........irritating ,,,isint it?????
(3) For ringtones: it is much louder through speakers if u compare it with w700,w810i or k750i.....but still n -72 is the winner!!!
4) for music player: it doesnt have the mega bass .........this is the main drawback.....but still bass elements will not frustrate u and stereo widening is there 2 entertain u ppl......its not in w700i,w810ior k 750i..........
its very much light in weighing and its a great pleasure 2 use it......And keep in mind one thin that m also using n-73 along with my k550i......i m just using k550i as a second handset........But i dont feel any worse to use it afta using my n-73 ,so u can imagine that its really a very good set
MAIN ADVANTAGES: XCELLENT Looks , LENS COVER, GOOD EXTERNAL SPEAKER(LOUD) , GOOD RESOLUTION, GOOD CAMERA,SLIM , NEW DSIGN KEYS,FM-RADIO,GOOD QULAITY of music through headset, STEREO WIDENING....CHROME PLATED LENS COVER,KEYS AND SCREEN BORDERS...............
Main DISADVANTAGES: No Mega bass!!! , ordinary headset is being supplied with the fone , means u ll have to buy walkman headsets.......memory card slot is inside the battery cover......

To Ivan - it does not have Megabass, but sufficient bass anyway.

Does this have the "Megabass" equalizer preset like the K750 does?

-> you'll be needing of a java software to make better videos than the standard one. this is possible by it's platform(JP-7) and no other brand except SE have that java capability. but ther isn't any available at the moment. if you can wait ther will be. just stay updated and visit getjar.com this is where all jar softwares were published.

To Putte..The pictures were nice....at least for the macro mode. They showed the fine details very well. Am yet to get pictures taken on a sunny day...then i can comment perhaps.

To djejjar...the video quality on the SE K550i is QCIF resolution. Is there any way to convert it to VGA or a better video quality?

mine arrived this afternoon. seems like a great phone to me. the backlight only stays on for about 30 seconds, does anyone know how to change this?

Hey..Keng..got K550 for two weeks now and the bad? It turns off by itself and unable to turn it on due to unknown technical reason I guess. Lucky here in HK we got a year of guaranteed and brought the phone to local ericsson service center and guess what ? They fixed it and the reason was 'loosen connector of something which I guess technical problem. Now, leeme see how will it last.....

Hi guy out there. Really need your help this time. Can I get the result from those that has used this K550 for some period. What is the good and the bad. Also any recommend for mobile that can replace this K550 from almost same price or least.

Did you know that the 5M pixel SE phone is quit tall 117*48*13 ?? Maybe it dont bother you?? I like small mobiles like T630,K750 etc
