hi, i have a question for u. which is better from k700 and motorola v3? and how much time works the battery before recharge it? 10x

u can update firmware by going to sony ericcson website.. u need to have a sync station first b4 u can update tho.
as for battery life, i can get around 4 days if i don't play with it much.. it'll take at least 10-15 charges b4 ur battery reaches full potential

I made a big mistake. I bought an Orange branded K700 in Switzerland. Bluetooth is working badly, the menu is not the SonyEricsson usual menu (no shortcut option), and there is no way to get rid of it but to pay some hacker to change the software to the original SE. A shame. Never buy operator branded phones.

Hi, i recently (one week ago) i bought k700i. It's a really nice phone and easy to use. I have a couple of questions though. What is the endurance of your batteries guys? I charge it every second night and i must tell you that i don't really play all the time with the camera or the mp3 player. Is it going to get better soon, after some running in maybe? Which is the latest firmware? Thank you all. Bye

I have a problem with my phone while recieving phone calls. Though I have the callers name and number stored in my phone book, only the number (and not the contact name) is displayed while recieving calls. Only a few contact names are displayed and for all others the number is diaplyed and the list changes. The last added/edited contact name stays and would be displayed correctly. If i go and save the number against the contact, all the call menu(Dialled, revieved, missed) would display the names, but then another working name would change to numbers. In short there is fixed number of(for me its around 8) names that would be displayed as name and all others though in contact list would dispaly only numbers when receiving calls. I am sure that it's some setting , but it's annoying me, as I dont remmber numbers much and would like to see the caller by contact name.

u can get an English language manual from www.songericsson.com .
the best way to convert mp3 to mp4 is to use winamp. It retains better quality (by ripping from cd) than from file to file

can i ask how do i convert MP3 song file to MP4 file so that i can put more songs into my SE700? issit that the phone can mplay mp4 files too?
Is there a way to upgrade the SE 700 41mb memory?

this is the best phone ever ! i`m from Romania.. a poor country ... and i went on caroling .. to save money 4 this phone !! :) but i`m very happy

i just bought this k700 phone..to my disappointment its user manual is in a different language. i was just wondering where can i secure an english user manual for this. i would also like to know how many hours will i charge this phone intially? i need a reply..asap. thnx!

Do u guys know your K700i can be a mouse as well if your mouse is malfunction. Not even a mouse, even as a wireless contoller for windows media player and powerpoint slides. You can use the bluetooth tech. to do your presentation by using powerpoint slides. That's cool, man ... just need to buy a bluetooth dongle and install the software. Then your K700i able to communicate with laptop/PC. :)

I'm a recent owner of this - few steps from PERFECT - phone but I have something I don't know how to solve.....All the phones I delt with when putting a pic as a background the phone stretch the pic that it covers all the screen including the topper line that indicates the battery and signal and the bottom line the indicates the options of the two soft keys or whatever, but my k700i don't do that as the pic only covers the 7 lines of the screen while the topper and bottom lines stays backgrounded with the theme color...... Is it just the phone or the theme or I'm missing something here ?? !!!

i bought a k700 five months ago. at first i loved the set. but now i find it to be a disappointment. the quickshare sticker at the bottom fell off, the online sticker at the side also fell off, the joystick is really giving a lot of problems. i would not recommend this set now that i have used it. it is extremely entertaining but not durable enough.

Really great phone. This phone has some really great features and i was really glad when i found it. SE should send this phone with a data cable though and the camera (though better than most fones) wasn't as good as i wanted it. Other than that its great and sony ericsson did a wonderful job.

i just want to add, 64bitrate don't really differ much from 128 rate when u play it on the phone. 64 has acceptable quality
