Hi everyone.I have a k500 and i m planning to buy a k700.I have read about this fone alot and almost evry person has a complain about its battery life.what are the other disadvantages and advantages of this phone.Should i buy this phone or not coz i m not a very rich man.I ve heard about K750 but it is tooooooo EXPENSIVE.Plz help me what to do.I live in PAKISTAN so many phones like motorolla,nec,maxon etc are not available here PLZ HELP. THANX

I'm a K700i user from Singapore.Owned the phone close to 3 weeks now & I personally think it's a superb phone.Let me break down some pros & cons here.
Before I proceed,I seriously think by reading & studying the manuals carefully will help users a lot.(Which I did)
Try to tweak,study your phone,read forums,reviews etc..
The ideal way is to do your "homework" before you buy any phone.
I know I need a camera,mp3 & video player/recordable.With much thought,I decided to go for K700i which I'm also aware of the upgraded K750 (which is awesome !)
Here goes...
1.Battery Life
Obviosly,I myself will fiddle the phone when I first own it.Yes It drains off why?

2.Disable Infra Red
3.Disable Boothtooth (when not needed)
* for privacy too
4.Off the phone if you think you don't need it at night.
5.Don't use screensaver (I don't find it necessary)

Charly MX nd Mak Ur Both Rong! So Wot If The Sound Cannot B Turned OPff (wich it can) Who Cares Dat Esint Even A fEature, Nd I dnT hAV 2 lower my quality to zoom, use ur senses on every camera that zooms da quality gets worse!

is anyone knows where we can download software for k700i that can password protect the folder.(e.g. i want to protect my pictures or video)...thnk a lot

anyone tell me whether k700 has 41mb free memory or if a shared memory? if shared howw much does it have the free memory?

Hi guys, I don't know what are the prices in other countries, but in Romania it is very cheap for what it has to offer. Comparing it with other phone like Nokia 6230 witch has the same features(+/- 1 or 2 ;) ) it is more convenient to buy SE than Nokia. The Noka 6230 is twice the price than SE k700.
I have examined this phone very deeply because I want to buy it, i know about it's + and - but I still think this is a great phone. My sister has Nokia 6230 and she is very pleased about it, me 2 cause I use it 2 from time to time ;), but it's still very expensive for me, and I am not that much of a Nokia fan too :), because some people are blind, they see only the brand of the phone, not the quality(my sister is one of those people :)). I think the 2 great flaws about the SE k700 are 1: the battery life and 2: the lack of the memory card. But still, it has 41MB free memory, more than enough for me because i'll only have 4/5 mp3's on it, the ones I like and a few games, it's still a phone not a Mp3 player. The camera it's a must for me :) cause I have a tallent for making pictures and I like taking them :), but I won't use the camera too much, instead I will use the Radio :)). I'm in highschool and in booring classes I will listen to Radio :)). The battery life...hm... I don't care about it 'cause I'm not a business man or a guy who likes talking on the phone... i would say...half an hour per day tops (if i'm lucky :)))), it's enough if it lasts 10 hours for me because I can always go home and charge it. That's me, I don't know about other people and they'r needs, but this phone satifies all my multimedia needs (camera, radio, MP3 player and 3D java games) and it is a very chaep phone. Bye all!

The sound at take a picture can't be disabled, is a stupid way to avoid to use the cell cam, y prefeer take a picture with my 100 USD cam, WITH OUT SOUNDS!

The cam/video is not that good Kurt.. And the video zoom is a lie as u have to lower the pixels.. Whats the use of that video shooting? Get the motorola fone!

Kurt I think the SE K700i is good, it can record for as long as the memory can take, so thta can be up to an hour, the camera quality is decent (not the best of SE nor the worst) you can zoom when taking pictures.
it is better than the v620 by far, so i would recommend you get it.

hi! i was just thinking of switching to sony ericsson k700! iz it any good? coz i have Motorola V620 nd i find the features of this fone very good! anywayz,..... how long can u tke videos for? nd is da camera good? nd about the zoom! i heard that u cnt use zoom wen ur taking a picture! is dat true? plz tell me! tnx!
